I finally stopped staring at my phone when I heard my mother and best friend running down the stairs. I looked at the phone again, now looking for the time, worried that I had spent once more hours staring at the screen of my phone - Harry. It was only 4:27AM and, two seconds later, they were in front of me.
"Maybe you should start packing." My mother shot first.
"The plane leaves in something like 7 hours, I think you should follow Maura's advice," Caitlin shot next, followed by her realisation moment, looking to my mother. "Since the first one worked quite well. We didn't even have to wait till the morning!" Caitlin smiled grabbing the older woman's hands.
"Oh thank you love, but now," My mother looked at me right after smiling back to Caitlin. "What should I pack? Maybe a few tank tops, three or four pairs of skinny jeans. How long are you staying there? We can't forget to pick the perfect outfit for you to meet the boys." I was so proud of my influence on my mother.
"Like I said," I looked at Caitlin and got up of the sofa, leaving my phone behind. "I am perfectly capable of packing my own bags, thank you very much." I crossed my arms now looking at my mother. In spite of my hurt feelings, my state of euphoria won the battle, me ending up on the two women of my life's arms. After a tight group hug, I let go as the three of us joined hands."Mum, Caitlin," I said with a serious face. "I'm meeting One Direction!" The smirk returned to my features.
"We're meeting One Direction, and oh my God, right?" Caitlin shook her hands, consequently shaking my mother's and my arms. We started jumping around in circles and only stopped when my mother talked again.
"Don't forget to tell Daddy hello for me." My mother said whilst still jumping referring herself to Liam (again, very proud). It was then my realisation moment.
"Sexgod!" My back froze as the three of us let go of each other hands. I was going to meet Harry. My Harry. "I'm going to meet him!"
"We know, we know." Caitlin jokingly said rolling her eyes.
"Shouldn't you sleep a bit though?" My mother questioned me.
"To be honest, I don't think I can." The chills started to leave my body whilst I scratched the back of my neck.
"Well you should." Caitlin showed a fake pity expression noticing the dark circles under my eyes.
"Should I?" I fake asked whilst squinting my eyes at her mocking expression.
"Oh stop it you two, we have more important things to worry about now." My mother said even though Caitlin and I were only playing with each other.
"We do?" I looked at my mother, forgetting (only for a couple of milliseconds) what was going on. "Oh, we do!" I said when Caitlin started laughing. I ignored my best friend and decided to make decisions of my own. "I'm going to pack my bag now. I'm packing whatever I want to," I looked at my mother. "Whilst you two go to bed and sleep for a bit. I'm not sure I'll be sleeping too, since I might get a little distracted by all this, but," I approached the sofa behind me to check the time on my phone once more - 4:35AM "I'll wake you up at 9AM so that we are at the airport by 10:30AM - you can sleep for about three and a half hours. Caitlin," I then looked at my best friend. "I'm sure you don't mind sleeping with my mother?" I sort of asked, even though I wasn't looking for an answer.
"Of course not, but..." Caitlin began to answer when I interrupted.
"Ok then, see you in three hours!" I shouted whilst running upstairs, leaving the two women in the living room. Entering my bedroom, the first thing I actually did was grabbing my MacBook (I didn't earn so badly by working at the pub) to check on the One Direction fandom and One Direction themselves.
Regardless of the fact that I was fully and completely obsessed with One Direction (there's no point in denying it now), I did not possessed one of those update accounts on Twitter, Tumblr or even Instagram. Instead, I followed accounts like that. After turning on my computer, I opened Twitter to check my feed.
@Harry_Styles: So excited to be going home for a week. All the love. H
I never got why he felt the necessity to do the 'H' thing - by then I got used to the 'All the love' (and kind of loved it). Seeing what he had tweeted, I felt the desperate need to pack my bags, but not before I responded him.
@obsessedaf: Excited to be seeing you in a couple of days. All the love. N
Regardless of my Twitter username, I always tweeted the boys nice things and supportive messages, since the responses that Directioners would give to the boys were sometimes quite graphic, to say the least. I only followed five accounts -- the four boys and the official One Direction account. After putting on one of the albums on ITunes - Midnight Memories - I finally started to pack. A while later, with all of what I thought necessary in my bag, I decided to give in and take a small nap with the time I had left - not too much since it was already eight in the morning (time really did fly when I listened to One Direction).
"Niall," My mother shook my body softly for me to wake up. After blinking my eyes two times, I jumped off of bed.
"What? What happened? Did we miss our flight?" I questioned my mother with my eyes wide open and my hands on the sides of my head.
"Calm down love, its 9AM, I was calling downstairs for you to wake up and eat breakfast but you didn't hear me. Caitlin has already eaten hers and is now taking a shower." My mother patted my right arm after I putted both of them down. Following her downstairs, I got to the kitchen and started to eat my very traditional Irish breakfast.
After nothing more could be eaten by me, it was my turn to take a shower and get ready. When the three of us where ready to go by the door, it was already 10:30AM - time that we should be in the airport - so we ended up getting there at 11AM. Succeeding me and Caitlin boarding the plane, and although I had brought the Where We Are film to watch, the both of us ended up falling asleep because of our tiredness. When we got to the Heathrow airport almost one and a half hour later, Caitlin drove us home with her car that she had left there, me sleeping in the back. I hadn't actually taken the time to think how she was able to afford the tickets and the passes, plus the car and the flat she was living in. Caitlin came to London all those years ago to study English in Oxford (yes, Oxford) but, apparently because it was not what she thought, after one year she dropped out. She was currently working at John Lewis', almost right in the centre of London (maybe that was how). When we got to her flat, the tiredness was still so big that the both of us went straight to her bedroomand slept some more, since I didn't have strength enough to get to know the flat.
Waking up, I finally fell into myself. I was then in London, with my best friend, two days away from meeting my life. Sitting up on the bed, I brought my hand to my forehead.
"God, what a headache." I muttered to myself. After checking the time on my IPhone - almost 5PM - I muttered again, this time shocked. "Wow, 5PM? Already?" All that really felt like a dream. But it wasn't, I really was in London, my body just didn't let me enjoy the trip there, giving me this confusion as to how had time flown so fast.
Noticing that Caitlin was no longer by my side, I got up and decided to start looking for her. When I was leaving the bedroom, I passed through a wall with a square full of pictures of my best friend and me. A particular one caught my attention - one of only me in one of the festivals we attended together.
"I really didn't need to remember that." I continued my walk through the flat. Hearing the sound from a room that I later found out it was the living room and following it, I found Caitlin on the sofa watching television. As soon as she acknowledge my presence, she grabbed the white envelope that was resting on the table in front of her and walk towards me.
"Now this is a déjà vu." I said receiving a smile from Caitlin.
"Guess what we're doing tomorrow?" She asked giving me envelope. After five seconds of me staring at her in the eyes, I decided to open it.
"Did you seriously buy tickets to Madame Tussauds?" Seriously Caitlin?
