"Nice to see you too," She said after a few seconds of one of my thigh hugs (I was quite known for those), rubbing my back.

"What on earth are you doing here?" I expressed my previous thought letting go of the hug, then only grabbing her arms.

"I came to get you." She confused me a bit more.

"What?" I dropped her arms. "What do you mean?" She then grabbed me, guiding my body towards my bed.

"Sit there," She ordered, turning around and walking across my room, stopping by my desk. On top of it was what I immediately recognised as the bag she used to wear back in college. I looked around to find something else she might had brought but my eyes didn't find anything. Did that mean she only brought that little thing with her? Maybe the rest of her bags were downstairs with mum. Mum! I couldn't wait to get back at her for that. Focusing back my mind on the old schoolbag, I could see Caitlin already opening it.

"You still use that." I joked.

"Sush," She took out an envelope and walked back to me, sitting on the bed. After adjusting my position so she and I were in front of each other, the surprise visitor delicately landed, with her two soft hands, the envelope on my bed.

"Here." She slid the envelope in my direction.

"And what is it that is in here?" I pointed to the white mini paper bag in front of me.

"Open it and find out." She again ordered. My left hand grabbed the white envelope as delicately as Caitlin put it down, receiving a disapproval look from her, whilst my right hand caught its insides. As I brought the whole content inside of the white material next to my face to see what it was, I realized it was four pieces of paper. So, after my head understood what those were, my heart skipped a bit.

"No, you know I don't want to." My voiced sounded quite angry, even though that wasn't the case, or so I thought.

"Oh come on Ni, you're being pretty stupid about this." My best friend finally talked.

"Caitlin, just drop it, I'm not going with you to London." I finally lifted my head to look her in the eyes.

"And why not?"

"I just can't! I mean, are you even for real? Did you really come here to try to convince me doing something that I already numerous times refused doing? I genuinely thought you were maybe here to spend some quality time with me, not once more bug me over the fact I refuse to see One Direction live, which you know damn well why." I got up of my bed, immediately followed by Caitlin. I was heading for the door when she grabbed my wrist, causing me to turn around.

"Ni, I don't care if I have to drag you, I have two tickets to London and two meet and greet passes that you and I are going to use, the tickets tomorrow and the passes in three days. I'm sorry that this upsets you and that I'm not here to spend some time with you but here to finally put some sense into your mind. You can't keep doing this to yourself. Don't act like you don't care or that this doesn't hurt you, because I'm the one you call from time to time, crying, to say that you just woke up from the most amazing dream, which is basically every dream you have with Harry. I came here to make you understand that yes, you may not get to know him like you would've wanted to, but you have  the chance to meet him, even if it's just to say your name so he can forget it five minutes later because of all the names he hears every day. You have this gigantic, and not very healthy, crush on Harry, so are you really saying you wouldn't like to be face to face with him? To look into his eyes while he looks right back at you? I know the answer to all this questions is yes, because I'm your best friend and I know you like the back of my hand." I looked her in the eyes, overwhelmed with all the words coming out of her mouth. After catching her breath, she completed firmly. "Now, do you have a serious problem that makes you not understand all I just said and also not understand the fact that I have flown here from London, specifically to come get you, or can I tell your mother to pack your bags?"

I was truly shocked with all the information thrown in my face under just thirty seconds, and the worst part was, she was right, on every single word she said. As soon as my mind let me, what was another thirty seconds later, I finally answered. "You know, I'm actually 21, I might still live with my mother, but I'm perfectly capable of packing my own bags."

"Is that a yes?" A smiled started to form in her face.

"I don't know." I said looking down again.

"Niall Horan, I love you like a brother, but I'm leaving tomorrow, with or without you. So tell me, are you going to stay here and continue depressing over something you could not be depressing, or come with me and meet your life?" She did know me like the back of her hand. "How much do you really want to waste this opportunity?" She asked sadly, taking a grip on my chin and pushing it upwards.

"I don't to waist it, but I'm afraid." I answered as she drove both of us back to the bed.

"Of..." She kind of asked me.

"I'm not sure..." I kind of answered her.

That was when my mum slightly knocked on the door, opened it, leaving it ajar, and peaked at us."So, did he say yes?"

"No." Caitlin answered. I looked at my mother and then at Caitlin. With all those emotions floating around the room - primarily confusion - I almost had forgotten that I had questioned my mother's help on Caitlin's humongous surprise.

"Did she know what you came here to do?" The doubts in my head took over my mouth.

"Niall honey, your mother and I have been plotting about this for a whole month now," The smile returned to her face.

"You're a true bitch, aren't you?" I smiled back.

"Well, like I always say, the only straight I am is a straight up bitch." She laughed, but as soon as she remembered and acknowledged my mum's presence in the room, she put her right hand in front of her mouth.

That was somewhat how we became friends actually, she being a lesbian and I being gay, it seemed the right thing to do back in college, to balance the universe and all. We essentially influenced the straight boys and girls who liked us, which were quite a lot since we were not ugly at all (mum's words), to like each other. For Caitlin it was easy - the girls who liked me weren't afraid of experimenting - whereas for me was extremely hard - the boys who liked Caitlin were more appealed by her breasts. At the near end of college tough, some boys started to take interest in me but, sadly for them, that was when One Direction came around, not leaving me time for anyone else but my best friend - only because she liked them too.

My mom just smiled, then entering in my bedroom completely, closing the door behind her and resting her back on it."And why not?" She ignored our aside.

"I..." I tried, being interrupted by Caitlin.

"He's not sure," She said whilst rolling her eyes.

"Well, don't say no already." My mother joined us by the bed. "Just think about it for the night and tomorrow morning you'll give us your final answer. Is that ok?" She rubbed my arm.

"Niall?" Caitlin asked after a few seconds of me being quiet.

"Ok." Maybe I could think about it for the night, maybe I could give my lost case some hope.

"Well, ok then, I'm going to bed now, it's 12:30AM already." My mother got up, heading to the door. After opening it and wishing goodnight, she left the room, also closing the door.

"I'm going to brush my teeth." Caitlin got up right after my mother closed the door, took her toothbrush from her old schoolbag (at least she brought that), and headed herself to the bathroom inside my bedroom.

That was when I looked at the posters on my wall, and oh boy what did I do...
