10 years before Hinata was born, the Ōtsutsuki clan came down to Earth in the hopes of joining forces with the Hyūga clan. However, the leader at that time, Hyūga Hiashi refused to cooperate with the god clan. As a result, a small war broke out between humanity and the gods who originated from the same family tree.
Unfortunately, the Hyūga clan who were at a disadvantage of being mortal were defeated. In order to settle down the war and create peace, the two clans made a deal saying that a soul of the Ōtsutsuki will be sent to the Hyūgas. A child will be born into the name of a Hyūga and will live as a Hyūga. When the time comes, the Ōtsutsuki clan promised to go and retrieve her from Earth. However, for the time being, she was never to know about who she truly was.
She was supposed to be a project, a secret project that the Ōtsutsuki clan sent to Earth, in the hopes of destroying it. Little did they know that she was the one who would save her world.
Present
I opened my eyes and felt the blinding sunlight shining over my face. 'Huh? Where could I possibly be...' Trying my best to remember what was going on, I traced back to what had happened before I passed out. The splitting headache in my head was very not helping, so I decided to leave the room.
'Wait...the room?' I looked around and found myself lying on my bed. I was supposed to be out in the Warfield, what was I doing here in my room? I looked down at myself and saw my hands. They were tiny. They were much smaller than the last time I remembered.
Panicking, I ran to the closest mirror and found myself staring back at. No, it wasn't the version of myself that I imagined to be looking at. I've been sent to the past! Horror stricken in my face, I burst out of my room just to bump into my father.
"Hinata, what are you doing running around in the house-"
"OTOSAMA? OTOSAMA, Oh otosama...good morning." Realizing that I should probably play my cool, I tried my best to calm down. Although my father seemed to be confused, he soon shrugged and left me in the hallway.
I slowly went back to my room and tried even harder to remember what was going on. There was something seriously wrong, and I had to find out. I was about to sit down when suddenly, a shard of my memory came back along with a horrible pain that made me scream. This wasn't what I was talking about when I said I wanted my memory back!
You belong with us, my child. Now, come with us Hinata.
ŌTSUTSUKI HINATA! NOW GO BACK AND LIVE YOUR LIFE AGAIN!
I guess that sums it up. That one memory coming back calmed me down, or it would be more accurate if I said it shocked me to an extent where I couldn't think anymore. All along, I have been shunned by my family, my body was so weak that I could not endure the hard training. Turns out, nothing was my fault? It was because I wasn't supposed to be living on Earth.
Cursing under my breath, I stood up with a determined look on my face. This time, this life, I won't live like the Hinata in the past. I have all rights to be confident, I have a chance to change the choices that I made in the past! This is a chance, a chance for me to relive my life as someone else. As another Hinata!
After getting dressed up, I said my farewells to my family and headed for the academy. Come to think about it, I was such a shy girl. I couldn't talk or do anything and sigh...I was so quiet. Just pathetic, very pathetic. Shaking my head with disappointment, I didn't realize that I was walking straight into someone.
"Owww, watch where you're-"
"Oh, good morning Hinata!"
Slowly looking up, I found my eyes meeting a familiar blue. The ocean that held a warmth inside...
Snapping out, I frowned. I did not want to act the same way as I did in the past, but looking at Naruto I realized that it was going to be harder than I expected.
With my heart beating like crazy, I smiled back at Naruto.
"Good morning, Naruto-kun. How are you this morning?"
"Oh? Ehehe good as always dattebayo!"
"That's good to hear. Oh gosh look at the time, we better get going."
"Huh? Going where Hinata?"
"To the academy...?"
"Oh, I was going to skip today ehehehe. See you later then dattebayo! Don't tell Iruka sensei!" Sending his goofy smile, Naruto was about to run away when I grabbed the back of his shirt.
"Sigh, where do you think you're going Naruto-kun? Academy training is important! Come now or I'll tell Iruka sensei that you were trying to skip today's class!"
Maybe I overdid the scary face because Naruto looked super scared now. Stuttering he managed to say a few words:
"Uh, Hinata are you okay? You sound like Sakura-chan dattebayo..."Sulking he trudged along with me to the academy. Looking at Naruto-kun who was walking like a puppy who fell into the water, I snickered to myself.
When Kaguya said she'd send me back to the past, I was shocked and worried about what was going to happen to me. Now, I think it'll be interesting. Lots of fun awaits!
Full of excitement, I opened the door to our classroom at the academy, soon finding out that my fantasies were shattered.
