Chapter 2

There is literally no place I haven't been in this city,is finding a job that hard??
I've been to cafe's,bars,companies,hell I even applied for a babysitting gig and all of them said I had lack of 'experience'
Like I need experience to serve rude people in the first place
Time went by pretty quick and now it's 7:35pm and I'm completely lost
I brought out my phone to call my mom when I realized my battery died
"Just perfect" I said sticking my phone back in my purse
Hearing some hushed noises in the corner,I walked quickly to see if I could ask for directions when I stopped halfway and saw an arm holding out a gun to a man's head who was kneeling. Oh shit!
"Now where are my containers" the man seethed out,he had the voice that would make anyone cower in fear including me. This is getting intense,I should leave.
Just when I was about to leave, I heard him pull the retriever and BANG!!
"Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh" I harshly whispered to myself
In attempt to run,I hit a dumpster
"Hey who's there!" I heard one of the men say
"Nico go check it out", I heard mr intimidating say
I quickly hid behind a wall for some minutes and decided to come out when I didn't hear them looking for me anymore
Just as I stepped out,a hand grabbed me and I screamed in fear
"Boss I found this" I bowed my head and started sobbing quietly
I saw the 'boss's' shoe form the way I bent my head and could even smell his cologne fork how close we were standing
BAD IMANI!! You're about to get killed and you're smelling your potential killer! I scolded myself in my head
"Look up" he growled out and I obeyed immediately and almost gasped at how attractive he was. He has the most beautiful set of emerald green eyes I had ever seen,his jawline was perfection and his plump lips.ohhhhh I was a sucker for pink lips. His ink black hair I could run my hands through over an over again
I guess he noticed me checking him out by the smirk on his face showing a cute little dimple just above his cheek
"Like what you see mama?" His eyes held amusement and I blushed looking down
"What did you see?" His eyes become strong and voice gruff
"N-nothing" I tried to lie but failed with the way my voice squeaked out
"I don't entertain lies" he growled out
"Uhm" c'mon nini,just say the truth and he might let you go. MAYBE
"I saw you shoot that man" and pointed to the direction of the man he just shot but didn't see him anymore. Hmm weird
"I-I promise I won't tell anyb-body,please just let me go" I begged
He hummed and paced around a circle
"What's your name?" He questioned
"I-Imani" I whispered
"Imani" he tested out,my name had never sounded better
"Now I won't kill you but DO NOT tell a soul about what you saw today or I won't spare you" he said dangerously low
"Y-yes sir" his eyes darkened
But what if I told someone,how would he know??
He started walking away but turned and said "trust me,Imani,I will know if you tell anybody" he said making a shiver go up my spine before he drove off
Standing there wide-eyed not believing what just happened.THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!!
