"The highest activity a human being can attain is learning
for understanding because to understand is to be free."

"If you want the present to be different from the past, study the past."

—Baruch Spinoza

Nothing in this world is ever as it seems. Most of what we have been taught or told about our planet and its history are either a distorted version of the truth or an outright lie. To fully understand the majority of the following concepts, one must not only consider this fact with an open heart and open mind but must also understand that most of this cannot be learned through mere knowing.

Typically, one should never simply believe whatever they read or are told but should question any and everything that comes his way. If something doesn't sit well, it should ignite a fire within one to pursue their truths. The esoteric knowledge presented here is not so simple. To truly understand these core concepts, one must experience them on one's own. However, all of these principles are a natural part of human life and are shared by every individual, whether aware of it or not. All it takes is a change in perception.

Modern civilization stands on one side, while the entirety of all preceding societies stands on the other. For western culture, the dividing line would lie at the end of the Middle Ages. At that point, a schism had made two different worlds--one completely separated by cutting itself off from nearly every contact with the past. For modern-day humans, this means any possibility of understanding the traditional world has been completely lost.

The following is only a tip of the iceberg of what researchers have rekindled of previous civilizations. They are a few core concepts of the secret mystery schools, on the ancient, esoteric secrets of ourselves, the world, the universe (cosmos), and of reality, which have only been available to those who dedicate enough time and research into seeking the truth. This is not stuff you learn in school. The religion of science denounces such claims, yet behind the scenes, these scientists not only understand these concepts but use them in their methods.

The human mind, along with the cosmos, is one of the most challenging and convoluted systems in nature. Where it may seem chaotic at a glance, with the indoctrinated eye, there exists a specific order similar to that of the universe. At heart, natural, aesthetic patterns are governed by dualistic polarities, in which the cosmos corresponds to the microcosm and the micro to the quantum level. In other words, the heavens (the universe) correlate with the human mind and body, as well as with every atom within it.

Every natural thing in the real world corresponds with the Hermetic concept of As above, so below; as within, so without, and grows in a cyclical, rhythmic pattern of the Golden Ratio— aka, the Fibonacci Sequence. Before we jump into Fibonacci, one must have a clear understanding of natural correspondence.

The Kybalion contains the Seven Principles of ancient Egyptian mythology that correlate with ancient Hermeticism principles and act as esoteric laws of how our world works. The second principle is of Correspondence: As Above, So Below; As Within, So Without. To better understand this, one must look at the two most complex systems in nature...
