"(y/n)! could you come here for a second?" your best friend calls your name, beckoning you to sit next to them on the bed. they have their laptop out, pointing to something on the screen. "what is it, bestie?" you say, as you come over and plop yourself next to them, getting a view of their laptop screen. "check this out! it's a Samsung 36 Inch Wide 26.5 Cu. Ft. Energy Star Rated Full Size Refrigerator with Family Hub!!" your best friend says with excitement, as they lead your eyes towards the product on-screen. "huh? you wanna buy it?" you ask, as your friend just can't seem to contain their excitement. "yeah!! I heard you can play Skyrim on it too!!" they eagerly reply. yeah, they've been looking at the memes on the internet... you thought. "but... we're living in college dorms. would they even let us put it in here? and could it even fit?" your logical response seemed to have caused your friend's chipper and bright face to fade into disappointment. "you're such a party pooper..." your best friend says, as they slowly close the lid of their laptop. tears begin to form in their eyes. "how else am i supposed to store all my cheese??" their sobbing seemed to have invoked some sort of response in you, as they wipe their tears away, some dropping onto the laptop lid. "...o-okay. fine. we can buy it, sorry. just stop crying..." you say, as you pull out a handkerchief from your back pocket and wipe your best friend's tears away. "yayy!! thank you so much, (y/n)!" their mood seemed to have changed almost immediately as they turn to give you a hug. a little embarrassed, you pull away. "so, where can i even find this type of fridge?" you ask, as you can't help but tilt your head slightly to the side. "hmm... i heard ikea has pretty much everything when it comes to home furnishings!" your best friend declares, as if a lightbulb had lit up above them. "ikea? I don't think I've even heard of that store before..." you reply, and your friend almost audibly gasps. "you've NEVER heard of IKEA??" your best friend seems almost beyond baffled. jeez... what's this about? you thought, feeling somewhat embarrassed at your lack of knowledge. "well, it's fine. just use google maps to give you directions!" your friend suggests. "alright, I'll go tomorrow, then." you say, as you check the clock on your nightstand. "8:30 P.M. ... we really ought to go to bed, now. we have a test tomorrow." you say, as your friend gives off a groan. "ugh, don't remind me... I HATE tests! isn't it for math or something? I suck at math!!" your friends' complaining doesn't help your test anxieties, either. but you stay cool and composed around them to at least give them a shoulder to lean on in these sorts of situations.  as you turn your bedside lamp off, your friend does the same. "good night." you say, as you roll over in bed.

"good night!"

day cracks, and you gather up all your books, remembering the dread of the math test you have today. you walk towards your math class and through the doorway. early... you think to yourself, as you plop down onto your desk. you see your best friend and your other friend sitting across from you. "O.M.G, hi (y/n)!!" your best friend calls out to you, to get your attention. "hey, looks like we're early, huh?" your other friend also chips in. "it would seem so," you reply, facing both of them. a few seconds pass by. "you know, (y/n)... it would really help things if you got a boyfriend or something!!" your best friends' sudden remark causes you to react. "h ... huh!? what's this about, all of a sudden!?" you exclaim. "omg, you're so right!!" your other friend's face lights up at your best friend's suggestion. this is out of nowhere...!! well, not entirely. you start thinking to yourself. you remember how your best friend had always seen you as a sort of lonely type, even since you guys first met. so, they would always push the idea of getting a boyfriend onto you. you didn't like it that much, but the more they mentioned it, the more you started to think about it... ack, what am I saying? I need to focus on my studies. you snap yourself back to reality. "huh? were you finally thinking about it for once?" your best friend says, amused at your thoughtful face. "ugh..." you groan, as you furrow your brows a little. suddenly, your math teacher walks into the classroom. here we go... you thought, as you gather your notes and prepare for taking your test.
