"This is like a dream come true!! I've always played Nintendo land with my bestie whenever we had time on the weekends!!" you squeal in excitement, as you seat yourself between Denny and LinLin on a floor pillow. "how about the luigi's mansion minigame?" LinLin suggest, putting the cursor over the game's icon. "yeah, let's do it!" Denny says, readying himself. "alright," you reply, trying to figure out again which was the best way to hold the controller. as the games begin, you continuously come out in first place. "woah, (y/n), you're really good at this game!" Denny says, impressed. "alright then, how about the animal crossing minigame??" LinLin says, with a face that looks as if she's about to crank up the difficulty. "yeah, let's do it!" you say with competitive determination. once more, you come out in first place. "do you also always come out on first when you're playing with your friend?? you seem like a pro!!" Denny exclaims, eyes wide. "actually, more often than not, they're the one coming out first, aha..." you say shyly from Denny's praise. "fine!! then let's play MARIO CHASE." LinLin fumes. "MARIO CHASE?? but you're just plain unbeatable in that game!!" Denny complains. "well, if (y/n) wants to just be so good at practically everything let's have them prove their worth in this one!!" LinLin gets into what seems like her pro-gamer stance. you ready yourself as well, as the games begin. soon, it's only the both of you competing, as both you and LinLin's competitive spirit was too much for Denny to even handle. "go, (y/n)!" Denny cheers you on. "why're you cheering them on!?" LinLin complains, as her grip on the controller looks like she's on the verge of breaking it. LinLin, the chaser, tries to find many ways to cut you off around the course, yet you always seem to find a way to get out of such sticky situations. the best paths to escape have been practically embedded into your memory, thanks to all the times you've played with your bestie. soon enough, the timer runs out and you come out on top. "YESSS!!" you scream out, dropping the controller and dancing about. but your victory is short-lived, as all the lights go out.

"is everybody OK??" Denny exclaims, as you take in the darkness that had just enveloped the area, as well as taken over your victory. "wahh.. just as I had fixed the TV..." LinLin whines. "I'm OK, but what happened??" you wonder. "the power... I think it must've went out?" Denny ponders, as he feels his way to the exit of the base, and to the ladder. "we ought to go together to fix it." "sounds like a plan to me~" LinLin chimes as she feels her way to Denny's location. "(y/n), your phone should be decently charged enough to be used as a flashlight, correct?" Denny asks. you feel your way to the floor outlet, picking up your phone and turning it on. "er... yes, it's turned on, finally!" you exclaim, as the samsung logo lights up the screen. "perfect, lets climb up this ladder, and-" "hey, why do we have to climb up that ladder all the time~!?" LinLin cuts Denny off. "erm, because it's the safest way to get around-" Denny stammers, as if he wasn't expecting that kind of response from LinLin. "I think we should teach (y/n) a thing or two about how to get around on the ground, don't you think~? it'd be good experience for you, too, if worse comes to worse~!" LinLin persuades Denny. "well, she isn't wrong, I suppose..." you think aloud. "fine, I guess so..." Denny sighs reluctantly. "yipee! (y/n), could you hand me your phone? I'll lead the way with your flashlight!" LinLin holds her hand out to you. what's the worse that could happen, I guess? you think to yourself, as you hand your phone over to her. the three of you set out of the base in search of what may be a breaker room, as LinLin leads the way.

as the three of you set out into the darkness, you can hear the shuffling of the late hour Ikea workers. you still can't help but wonder to yourself if any of this is real. you've been practically thrown into this situation, and everything has gone by too fast for you to even comprehend. you've even only been here for about 1 day tops, and have already almost gotten caught. I can't help but feel like I've played a game very similar to this... on a website called... robox? rolox... you suddenly think to yourself. whenever you and your bestie got a good score on the test, you'd both play roblox together to celebrate. however, you remember one game had stuck out to you. a horror game, about being trapped in a store... but just as you're about to recollect the memories, a headache pounds into your brain. "argh...!" you groan. "ah, (y/n)! are you alright??" Denny turns around, with a concerned look on his face. "it's okay, I'm...!" you stumble a little bit, and regain your footing. "is it your head? argh, I knew you should've taken a bit of Tylenol..." Denny says, regretfully. "both of you, watch out!!" LinLin calls out to the both of you, as Ikea employees are running up to you two from behind. "ahhh!! RUN!!" the three of you run as far as you can, losing sight of the employees. as you all catch your breath once again, you all realize you're in the gardening isle. "uh.. *pant*... have any of you.. *huff*... seen any kind of door that would lead to the breaker room yet...?" Denny pants. "I don't think so... *sigh* unfortunately..." you sigh. "both of you ought to pay more attention, we almost got caught, there," LinLin scolds. "at least the gardening tools in this place look like good defense weapons." LinLin scales the shelves, admiring the many tools on display that look perfect for defending. you look around the shelves as well, picking out a tool that looks somewhat like a fork with a thick handle. your dad always loved to garden, so handling such tools wasn't foreign to you. however, fighting with such tools was most definitely indeed something foreign to you. "use... to defend? I dunno..." you say, with a bit of a sweat. "hm? you haven't had any need to defend yourself before, (y/n)?" LinLin says, a bit of a smirk on her face. "uh, well... fighting isn't really my style..." you admit. if anything, it was your bestie who always swore to protect you, and indeed they did. one time, when some school bullies ganged up on you after school, your bestie was there to beat all of them up. after all, they've been doing taekwondo classes since they were little. suddenly, you let out a huge sigh. "what's wrong?" Denny asks. "it's just... I really wish my bestie was here right now. they would totally know what to do in this kind of situation." you sigh. "your bestie sounds like someone who was really close to you, huh?" Denny says, fiddling with the little gardening shovel in his hand that he picked out from the shelves. "yeah, we've known each other for like, as long as I can even remember..." you reply, staring at the little hand fork in your hand. you didn't realize how much you'd miss them until you were separated, because the two of you had always been together. it just feels... weird... when they're not around... your thoughts take over for a moment before LinLin snaps you back to reality. "HEY! i think we ought to get out of here~ don't want the creepy employees catching up to us!" LinLin says, practically dragging you and Denny out of there. after what seemed like forever, the three of you arrive at a pretty important-looking door. "hey, there's a label above it~!" LinLin says, shining the phone's flashlight into the door's label. "Breaker Room... hey, we've finally found it!!" LinLin squeals. "wow, good job, LinLin!" Denny applauds. but victory is once again short-lived, as 4 Ikea employees jump down from the ceiling and in front of the breaker room door, blocking the path. "the store is now closed. please exit the building." they order. "waugh! we've been ambushed!!" LinLin exclaims. "HEY!! THEY STOLE MY STRAGETY!!" Denny complains, as the three of you rush on out of there.
