November looked around at what was to be her new room. She'd never had a space this big to herself and yet she wasn't surprised. At SPU anything short of extravagant would've been disappointing to say the least. The rich kids weren't well-versed with the concept of having to 'share' a room and thus each student got their own room in the students living quarters that were divided into two sections- for the boys and for the girls.
But there was hardly any restrictions for either party as girls and boys openly made out at the hallways and spent their nights together.
During the weekends those who had apartments in the Upper East Side, would go back to their pent houses and would report back to the university on Monday. The wildest of parties would be thrown during this gap with no one to supervise the young adults gone wild claiming the city of New York as their own.
And although Barbara had told her before leaving that she would be welcome over the weekends, November knew she had no home to go back to, and this dainty yet spacious little room was all that was going to harbor her.
November had her own savings from summer jobs and part time work that she had done in Glendale but she knew it would be barely enough to sustain her. She would be needing to find a job ASAP and she listed it out in the things that needed to be done immediately.
Classes wouldn't start until the day after, and November had exactly about 2 days to bring herself together, unpack, find some in-campus job and be ready to face the scandalous Southside Princeton in its full effect.
How she was to do, either of those things she had no idea. But for better or for worse she'd give it all that she had. And since this was the only thing going on for her, November resolved to not take this brilliant opportunity for granted. And so with a deep breath, she began to unpack.

Hours later her room looked just about done. And although completely beat was satisfied with how it looked like and even though November knew it could be quite some time since she felt like home here, she also knew it was a good start. It wasn't much but it brought her immense satisfaction and joy in having at least one thing done right. And for now this was enough.
It still wasn't late and November decided she'd go out and try her luck and see if some spots were available for any in-campus job.
She knew the cafeteria was out of question since her peers would make her life hell but she was secretly hoping the massive university library would have a spot to accommodate her in its massive walls and endless books. The library of Southside Princeton University was well acclaimed as when of the biggest and most exclusive university library in the tri-state area and it was one of the few things at SPU that November was actually looking forward to. She'd heard and read so much prior to her arrival in the institution notorious for its richness and extravagance, November could hardly wait to check all of it out and see for herself, what this insanely gigantic institution displayed and hid within its walls.
Pulling over a warm and cozy beige sweater and putting on her favorite pair of jeans, November grabbed her bag, slipped on her converse and left her room behind her.
If not the library, then at least November could go around exploring the place that was gonna harbor her for the next 4 years, before the elite and entitled came back within its walls.
