He was reaped for the 71st Hunger Games when he was fifteen years old. His mentors were a man named Noa Brewer and an old drunk named Bess Shear.
He got lucky, having worked on the farm long enough to develop brawn, and raised with a good amount of charm. He was a sweet kid, and got allies easily.
He teamed up with his district partner, a girl from Eleven, the boy from Nine, and weirdly, the girl from Four. Their pack made it pretty far, until Sailor upped and left them in the middle of the night when he was supposed to be on guard.
Most of them were killed by the three remaining careers that night, with the exception of the Four girl, who got away.
Sailor avoided fighting anyone until he was cornered by two members of the career pack. He killed them with weapons stolen from his previous allies, though in his last fight he was disarmed, and won by knocking the other boy out. The Four girl took out the last career, leaving just her and Sailor.
She was a good fighter too, and their last brawl was a bloody one, but he eventually led her back to the cornucopia, where he was able to pick her up and slam her head against it.
He was then crowned Victor. Pretty as he was, he became one of the Capitol's darlings, though somehow avoided President Snow's usual patterns with the desirable Victors.
Two years later, a girl two years younger than him was reaped. Her name was Aven, and from the second he saw her, he was in love.
She ended up winning too, and shortly after she got home, they began a romance.
Now Sailor just wants to live his days with her, until he doesn't have any left.
