Casey's POV
I was walking peacefully towards my classroom when suddenly somebody shouted my name.
"Casey!"
I looked where the noise came from and saw my best friend, Freya. I smiled and waved my hand to her while she was excitedly running toward me holding a lot of branded bags.
"Phew, that was tiring ha" Freya mentioned as she catch up to me.
"Eh, bakit kaba kasi tumatakbo?" I asked
"Coz I have a lot of presents for you!" She happily replied to me. As she grabbed my hand and started handing me all the branded bags that she was holding.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait," I hurriedly said as I looked at her and curiously asked her "Saan galing 'to? you went out of town?"
"Yup!" Freya answered in a high-pitched tone. "Diba I told you last week nga that mom and I are going to the U.S. We just came home last night and I have jetlag pa nga eh. I don't want to go to school to be honest, pero I remember na I have gifts to give sayo para di na lagi hoodies soot mo.
"Aww thank you, Freya. I really appreciate this." I answered back to Freya. Then we started walking towards our classroom. And of course, Freya being Freya she didn't stop talking until we reached our room.
"Hey Frey, go and grab a seat near me nalang para may kasama ako." I cut her long story about his whereabouts in the U.S.
"Sure, hold on let me just gloss my lips a little bit before I do that." She answered back as she started to swipe her lips with her lip gloss.
I glanced at Freya minding her own business and looked away to the classroom window to stare at the trees. I can help but get mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of the wind making the trees dance to their own rhythm of breeze and appreciate the most beautiful color blue of the sky.
Not like Freya, who often enjoy her own company. I find my me-time wierd sometimes. I don know why but when I found myself alone, I feel like I'm surrounded. I feel like I'm not alone.
"Cas" I was interrupted by Freya who lightly touched my shoulders to catch my attention.
"Hmm? Why?" I replied
"I said, Miss Mizuno is already there in front. Calling names for attendance. She might skip you, sa sobrang occupied ng isip mo." Freya whispered
I suddenly looked in front and got surprised a little seeing the whole room, already filled with my classmate and our prof. At the back of my mind, I can't believe that just a few seconds ago I was admiring the view, and then suddenly the room was filled.
"How come I did not notice that?" I asked myself.
"What? Got your senses back Dealla?" Freya teased me.
I chuckled and answered "Yes, just can't believe na diko na pansin"
Class started and Ms. Mizuno decided to discuss the introduction to our topic.
"Class must remember you guys are graduating students, after this year, college na kayo. Habang maaga pa, make plans about your future. There's no harm in planning your future because it's like being ready. If I may ask, do you have plans in mind na ba about your future courses?" Miss Mizuno asked.
My classmates suddenly had their wild mode on including my friend Freya. However, two questions stuck in my mind, one is, what course should I be taking and the second one is, can I do it?
"Class calm down" Miss Mizuno laughingly mentioned as she waved her hand to calm the class. "Since eager kayo to answer the question, gagawin ko nalang siyang assigment. Matatapos narin kasi yung time natin if sasagutin niyong lahat yan class, 'di tayo aabot sa time."
"I'll just upload the mechanics later on our Gclass." Our prof said as she grabbed her stuff to leave the room.
I looked at our whole room and observe everything. Many people say I'm too quiet and I have reason for that. The reason why is, talking makes me tired and I prefer to observe people. I find it fun coz it is like being able to predict what they're doing next.
Like Freya, she's writing down something and I believe yun yung sagot sa tanong ni Miss kanina. I know in a bit she's gonne drop her pen because she's too lazy to write. In 3,2,1..
"Ugh I can't! I'm gonna type it nalang on my laptop later after school." I heard Freya.
See, it is like having prediction as your sixth sense.
'Is it fun?'
I jumped a little on my chair because of the sudden voice.
'Hey'
I looked around frantically to find where that voice came from.
"Hey, are you okay?" Freya asked me with a concerned voice.
"Yes, I guess so." I answered back still looking at every corner of the room.
"You sure? You don't look okay. Parang gulat na gulat ka?" Freya asked me again while she gently caress my shoulders.
"Yes I'm good, may naalala lang ako." I answered back to Freya with a secured smile.
"Hmm, okay. Samahan mo nalang ako, let's go to CR. I wanna retouch and also I kinda want to pee." Yaya sakin ni Freya as she grab her mini mirror to check her face.
I didn't answer her but I started to put my notebook back inside my bag para samahan si Freya. I stood up and tapped Freya's shoulder to let her know na I'm done and ready.
"Tara na?" I asked.
Freya smiled and grabbed her mini bag full of makeup. Then we started walking to the comfort room.
Again, just like earlier. The trees are still dancing with the wind. It's very lovely to see this kind of scenery because I'm in love with nature. It soothes me. I closed my eyes while we are walking to feel the breeze, and it feels really good like I'm on cloud nine.
But that was interrupted when I bumped into something.
