Fumiko was born in the heian era.

Reborn in the modern era.

And then got into an accident and  found herself in the Taisho era.

She really had a messy life.

Fumiko, a 27 years old herbalist, just going back to her house after hanging out with her friends when she was ran by a truck-kun. At first, everything was dark and quiet, but then she opened her eyes and saw the starry night sky.

Confused, she sat up and looked around her surrounding. She was beside a lake in the forest. It took Fumiko a few seconds to remember that this was the same spot her husband had killed her in the heian period.

Disgust and anger swelled inside her. Fumiko quickly stood up to leave the place, but she had to balance herself as dizziness came to her head. She left the woods and noticed the differences with the shape of the lands and the plants around.

Fumiko was glad there was still the town she used to go to, even if the buildings were different now. She asked some of the people what year was it, only to be answered with '1912'. Now knowing she was in the Taisho period, she wondered if the Kibutsuji household was still in the same place.

Fumiko went there to only meet with the sight of an abandoned house. She was expecting this, as it had been centuries, so the family name might have died by now. The thing that hurt her the most was that Muzan probably died now.

" Muzan..." Fumiko whispered, looking at the building with sad eyes.

She shook her head, collecting herself to focus on the most important matter at the moment.

Why did she went back to the past? If she was killed and reborn for the second time, shouldn't she at least with a family in the era or something? But she was all alone, with nothing --

" Wait." Fumiko patted around her clothes. She woke up to be wearing a formal white shirt and a black blouse, so what if her modern possession was still with her?

She was right.

Fumiko fished out her phone and her wallet, including a pepper spray and pocket knife that she always carried around. Modern money might be useless in the era, but maybe she could persuade someone to give her a place to stay at the moment.

" Oh dear..."

She turned around to see an elderly woman carrying a basket full of vegetables on her back. The old woman seemed to have trouble carrying them, judging on the way her heavy breathing and sweats on her face.

" Excuse me, granny," Fumiko approached the woman, " do you need help on carrying those?"

" Oh, yes, I do...thank you very much, dear." Granny smiled as Fumiko took the basket off her and carried it herself. " My home is located in the mountains...I hope you don't mind a bit of travel."

" That's all right, I walk a lot." Fumiko said. In the modern world, she often woke up very early to do some jogging to train her stamina.

It took some time for them to arrive at the granny's house, which was far from the town. It was a cottage, small, yet simple and beautiful. Fumiko liked it, the cottage gave her a peaceful feeling. A place being surrounded with nature and far from the busy crowds of people was something Fumiko would have preferred.

" Granny, I am sorry if I am bothering you, but may I stay here for a few days?" Fumiko set down the basket gently on the floor of the cottage.

" Why, of course!" The elderly woman beamed in delight." I've been lonely since my husband and children's death. Stay as long as you'd like, dear."
