Chapter 7°The cloak of not so invisibility.

Hermione awoke to an empty bed; she didn't expect Draco to be there anyway, in fact, she hoped he wasn't, she couldn't bear the thought of waking up next to him. Despite the layering of fur hides, she was a shivering mess, and the spot between her legs was aching. She also had a runny nose but quickly dismissed it with a sniff. Sitting up in the bed the hide slipped off her being and her nipples hardened as they were exposed to the cold air, she took a glance at the chest to her left and stood with a fur hide wrapped securely around her to keep her warm until she was dressed, why was it so cold? She knelt before the chest and began rummaging through it, she picked out a simple white dress that laced up at the top and fanned out at the waist, although it was rather warn down, she could tell by the seams, it's not as if she expected to be lavished with beautiful clothes, she was a prisoner, after all, she just expected cheap new clothes. A new item caught her wondering eye, a cloak hung in the corner of the room, Hermione had never seen anything so vibrant, the fabric was bleeding with a bright red.

She changed into the dress and put on a pair of thermal white stockings underneath her dress, she stared at her simple flat Mary janes and wished for something warmer, but Draco would probably have a fit if she requested anything else, he was kind enough to supply her with books, she didn't want him to stop. She plucked the cloak from the torch it hung from and wrapped herself securely in it, the fabric was warm and upon further inspection, it also had a hood at the back. The wooden door swung open and startled her. In stepped Draco who had a sour expression on his face, he was wearing a similar cloak to hers, although it had no hood and his was a dark brown almost black, he was also wearing a pair of black trousers and a grey shirt with the top laces undone

"Sleep well?"

Hermione blushed, although it was the colds doing defiantly not her own...

"Ok..."

He dropped something heavy on the floor in front of him and Hermione looked over to see a pair of dark brown heavy-duty snow boots, she didn't meet his eyes, but an uncomfortable look passed her features, what were they for? Obviously, they were for her feet, she was a smart girl, but why would she need them, she barely left the den

"Believe me, you'll need them, I have a surprise for that curious mind of yours"

She nodded and walked over to where Draco was stood, never once letting her eyes tilt up to meet his, she didn't think she could ever look him in the eye again, all she saw was a monster, the big bad, and it frightened her. She knelt down and picked up the heavy boots, they were lined with fur and were rather damp, was it raining? Perhaps, that explained why it was so cold

"Granger..."

She kept her eyes downcast and rose, she kept her eyes ahead and stared at his chest, she saw him exhale and she felt his breath on her forehead

"Eyes up"

She did as she was told and lifted her eyes, but she didn't dare lock them together, instead, she focused on his nose trying to give the illusion

"Eyes."

He growled, she jumped and gathered all the courage she had left to look him in his eyes, she let out a breath that fogged the air once they connected, everything came back, she whimpered and lowered her eyes again taking a step back, it was in a cower. Wonderful, now she was probably going to be punished all because she was a massive whimp. She heard Draco sigh and shift on his feet, she soon felt his arms as he wrapped them around Hermione, and she stood there with her cheek pressed against his stern warm chest confused, she didn't know whether she wanted to push him away or wrap her arms around him. Draco stroked her head and swayed with her in his arms, he wanted to protect her, she must know he was doing this for her own good, he tried to make last night enjoyable for her, he would have to do better tonight.
