It had been maybe a week since you first landed in Neverland and as expected you were trapped prisoner on the island, by order of Pan. He didn't put you in a cage or treat you like an animal. Strangely the most cruel person of all the realms treated you like a person. But come to think of it there was no need for him to keep you locked up. The whole island was his prison. You didn't quite understand what Pan wanted with you, but you weren't going to ask either.
One evening while the Lost Boys were running about the fire Pan took a seat next to you on a log at the edge of his camp. He was the last person you wanted to come your way.
"What do you want Pan?'' you ask.
"I came to make you a deal" he says.
"I'm not interested in anything you have to offer to me. I know how your games work and I don't intend on being a pawn in one of them" you answer directly. You knew that Pan didn't play fair. If he was going to play a game he intending on winning and you didn't stand a chance.
"Well that's too bad" he says getting up from where he had been sitting, "I was hoping you'd make things a bit more interesting for the both of us."
"What's your offer?" you ask squishing your face regretting you'd asked.
"Glad to see you're interested" he says turning towards you again with a smirk on his face. "What if I were to offer you something very hard to come by? Passage off the island."
An offer like this from Pan didn't come easy and it was in your best interest to take it, but you couldn't stomach it to agree to play one of his games. "Name you terms" you ask harshly.
He squats in front of you so that you see eye to eye. "I'm going to give you three weeks on this island with me" he says waving his hand as if displaying the island surrounding you. "By the end of those three weeks I will offer you the option to leave the island or stay with me forever."
"You and I know very well what my choice will be" you say factually.
"I wouldn't be too sure about that" he says with a snicker. "You may think I'm a bloody demon, but I'd say I'm a pretty charming boy" he says full of conceit "and I intend on using my charm to lure you into staying with me."
"Not likely." Pan's notion was ridiculous. If he thought you were going to fall for him he had it all wrong and lucky for you, you could play this to your advantage.
"Alright. Pan" you say with the hint of a smile on your face, "I'll play this little game of yours."
"So you agree?" he asks.
"Yes I do" you answer with a smug look on your face.
"The night is still young. I'm sure the Lost Boys would love it if you danced with them around the fire" he suggests holding out his hand for you to take.
"The Lost Boys want me to join them? I don't believe that. I think it's you who wants me to join in" you challenge. "But I suppose if I'm going to be spending some time here I might as well have fun with it" you reason as you give him your hand and stand up.
He squeezes your hand tight and the two of you almost jog to where the Lost Boys were. You expect him to let go of your hand, but instead he grabs the other and spins you in circles around the fire. You'd hate to admit that you were enjoying yourself, but you were. You were going to give Pan what he expected, a false sense of security. If he was going to play dirty then so were you.
After what seemed like hours of dancing around the fire you stepped away to get a moment of peace.
"Wasn't that exiting?" you hear a familiar voice ask.
