Carlo and his father were in Switzerland, hauled into one of Franco's many properties as they tried to figure out what to do next.
"Scemo". (Fool)
Carlo looked over at his father who was staring him down as they ate together, a wheelchair next to his seat as he slowly recovered from the bullet wounds on each leg.
"Your petty insults are not needed". He shot back annoyed.
"He saved your life and you reciprocated by trying to kill him, the Don"! Franco yelled, slamming his fist on the dinner table as the veins on his neck became prominent, he had had enough of his son's behavior.
"You're lucky I'm in a fucking wheelchair or I'd put a bullet in your fucking chest too". Carlo reciprocated.
Franco maliciously spit on the ground, glaring at his son as he waited for him to say another word.
"You said I tried to kill him, does that mean he is alive"?
Franco shook his head, igniting excitement in Carlo's chest that dissipated at his next words.
"I have no clue, I'm stuck here with you and I'm sure Mateo thinks I knew of this treacherous plan of yours all along".
"Cazzo, I'll have to shoot at a closer distance next time".
Franco eyed his son who sat there without a care in the world, Fernando had created a psychopath.

Dr. Ahmed walked in.
She didn't dare look at Mateo's face as his eyes followed her movements.
She had saved his life and now he was threatening hers.
"Adenosine and Lignocaine". She said calmly.
Mateo's expression turned into a perplexed one as she uttered the unknown words to him.
"By keeping potassium levels normal I am preventing injuries to your muscle cells and to the vessels that carry blood to your heart".
He listened carefully.
"This means that when your muscle cells are resting, the distribution of ions across the cell membrane generates an electric potential".
She shoved her hands into her coat pockets as her demeanor relaxed.
"This electrical activity that crosses through your heart tells your muscles to contract, which generate when channels in the membrane open".
"Doc, I'm not follow-
Dr. Ahmed placed a hand up, cutting Mateo off as she continued to speak.
"This allows the ions to flow across the membrane and depolarise the cells which floods the heart with potassium ions, causing it to freeze the cells in the depolarized state".
Mateo scratched the back of his head as he awkwardly laid there.
"In other words I will freeze your heart in a resting state and only two drugs can do that, Adenosine and Lignocaine".
His eyes bulged out of their sockets in shock.
"I don't want to actually die, Doc".
"A single five-minute infusion of the drugs is all it takes to stop the heart for an hour, it will start beating again, just as well as before".
Before he could speak Dr. Ahmed cut in.
"You want to make this look realistic, no"?
He looked at her intently before letting out a sigh and running his fingers through his hair.
"Can I trust you"?
"I'm sure if you die, your people will come for my head".
Dr. Ahmed stood there calmly, her hands in her pockets as she allowed him to take in her words.
"You sound very sure of yourself, my life is in your hands".
"I've been a practicing doctor for over ten years and no, my life is in your hands".
He nodded, a gesture she reciprocated before leaving the room.

"I don't want you to run out on me like that again, I would've happily accompanied you".
Sebastian kissed Capri on the lips as they snuggled in her bed, the same bed she shared with Mateo last time he was here.
"I'm sorry, my mind just fogged up when I was told the news".
He hummed, tightening his hold around her.
"What friend is this, I thought Axel was the only one you had".
She grew nervous.
"Just a friend from a past life, no one important".
"Must be if you ran out like that".
Capri stayed silent as she ignored his comment, looking up from under his head before she connected their lips in a sweet kiss.
Sebastian wondered how long she'd continue to lie to him.
"I love you". He whispered for only her ears, a comment that caused her to stiffen.
She couldn't even look Mateo in the eyes and say it, what could she possibly say to Sebastian?
"Thank you".
She winced at her choice of words, quickly clearing her throat before sitting up and showering his face with kisses, a distraction.
Sebastian laid there as she pecked his face repeatedly, a small laugh escaping his lips.
He knew she wouldn't say the words back but honestly his mind was somewhere else, he kept thinking of Axel and how out of character he had acted that night, his anger took control and he wanted Axel at his mercy.
But now? Now he wanted him for his own pleasure, there was no anger just desire.
