"Hmm, it's raining.. Are you sure we should go?" he said, the rain pelting down on the front awning of Leblanc, protecting them from the droplets.
"Cmon, it's fine! Let's just go! Who cares if we get soaked!" he grinned. Akechi glared at him-he instantly knew what that expression on Ren's face meant- a crazy idea. Ren grabbed his hand, and ran through the storm, their clothes getting drenched in a matter of seconds, soaking their shirts, showering their hair.
"Hey, slow down!" he laughed, as he covered his head with his metallic briefcase as they ran, the clouds' spit leaping off it. He was struggling to keep up with Ren, as he tried hard to not trip and soak himself further. They ran like two young children, with not a single worry in the world, except for falling over, of course.
"Ren.. You seriously are so reckless sometimes.. If you fall over and hurt yourself, don't you dare blame me!" he joked.
They ran through the park nearby, creating torrents of splashes behind them.
"Okay, fine, I'll stop.." he huffed, taking shelter underneath a towering oak tree, the branches shielding the two as they desperately gasped for breath, leaning against the tree for support.
"Well, that was fun! What did you think?" he asked Akechi, still attempting to catch his breath.
"I think that you're such an idiot running through the rain like this.. What if you caught a cold or something? Well I do admit.. It was fun." he smiled, looking at Ren, who was completely exhausted, yet laughing at the same time.
(Oh Ren, sometimes you're such an idiot, that it makes me feel dumb. Yet I fell in love with you. And it's times like this when... I just want to kiss you. Under this tree, under the summer rain. This is just... the perfect setting.)
Akechi stroked Ren's soaked hair behind his ear, and brought him ever closer.
They kissed under the oak tree, the leaves and branches attempting to protect them from the rain. They didn't care that they were drenched. They didn't care that they were cold. They didn't care who was watching. All they cared about was each other. About this very point in time.
