You sat under a tree

You sat under a tree. Sun blazed through the leaves to hit every corner possible, but even though the light clearly hit you...the heat never followed. Going straight through your transparency, almost as if you existed...only barely.

It seemed calm.
Birds flew over your spot, blissfuly unaware of there sudden decided fates soon to catch them. It was so funny...it isn't funny. Often times, you liked to pretend, pretend you were surrounded by those you once knew and loves.

They weren't here anymore. Your hand made it's way towards your face, infront of your eyes. Through it you could see your sad state of legs. Battered and burnt, it was sickening to those who weren't used to the appearence.

People were afraid of your kind. You slowed them what death was like, you were a window to fate in a sense. People don't like that thought, so they ignore it in hopes it would disappear.

People you loved...they feared you. So you disappeared. You left. This forest was cool though! You hadn't been in the forest much from what you remember, now you were there all the time!

Forever...

Since death caught you.

You were so lonely.

Nothing and no one acknowledged your existence, no one knew who you were. People of your past could smile sadly at the fond memory that was you, no idea that the very person they lost and hoped would move on...was stuck.

Death had denied you, so now you had to face the consequences of Death's laziness.

Ghosts were such painful creatures. Were they even able to be considered that?

Most just fade into obscurity, left to be ignored and forgotten by the very people they though were trustworthy. You hadn't seen a living human in SO long.

You kinda wanted to.
What was the date anyway?

Maybe it was your Birthday? What a surprise! You weren't sure, so you decided it was. Why not go see something...atleast one last time before you go back to obscurity?

Why wallow in pain?

You were tired of it.

You got up, it was time you tried something. The fear of being forgotten fueled your determination to be seen by those with a working soul.

Where would you go?

You tried to remember, hands reached your head as you tapped it. Trying to remember a place to go, a place where men could go and emancipate...

The brutality

And tyranny

Of their rulers

Well, this place is real

You needn’t fret

This song...seemed so familar. Why suddenly were you remembering this? Could you finally be remembering something? You tapped your head harder in hopes other lyrics would appear.

With

There was names, names...
Names were always hard to remember...so...hard to remember.

By now you were just hitting yourself over and over.

With Wilbur

Wilbur....the name. That couldn't be the only one!

Tommy.

Damit....your felt woozy.
You stopped. No point in trying anymore, names weren't important, clearly! Who needs em, you didn't!

A very big and not blown up...place.

Your smiled at the dumb lyrics you remembered so suddenly. This place, you didn't know the name but if you managed to remember a song based on it, it was God who wanted you to find it! Right?
