Chapter 3: The Party

Friday after school

"This is cute." Alica said holding up a mini dress. I shook my head,"Half of my ass would be out."

She looked at me and then back at the dress. "Yeah it would." she said.

"I don't really want to wear a dress." I told her. "How about a cute top and and a pair of shorts." she suggested. I nodded my head and we left the store.

We went into six different stores until i finaly found something that i liked. After we paid for our things, we walked around the mall for awhile and then went to the food court. I saw Waun with his arm some girl, but it didn't bother me at all. He ain't my man, so I'm not mad.

"Your man coming over here." Alica said.

"Who is that?" I asked her before I felt long arms drape over my shoulders. I automatically knew who it was. "If he was man he wouldn't be all over that girl." I told her. "you seem jealous." he said standing up straight and looking over my outfit. I had on a white fitted shirt, a pink skater skirt, and white flats. "I'm not."

He shrugged it shoulders while looking at me with lust in his eyes. "You look good, Kay." he told me licking his lips.

"Thanks and its Kayla not Kay." I corrected him.

"I know but I'm still gonna call you that." I shook my head and walked up to the counter to give the cashier my order. I got my food and went to find Alicia. When I found her she was cussing some guy out. He was short and fat with nappy ass hair. "And you grab my ass again imma kick you so hard in the dick your damn grandkids will feel it, if you can have kids!" I guess he thought she was playing 'cause he grabbed her ass when she started walking away. She turned around and kicked him and he screamed and fell to the floor. She walked away with her food.

"What happened?" I asked her.

"He came and sat down by me. He tried getting my number an I politely told him that I was taken but he acted like he couldn't understand English and came closer to me and started grabbing and touching on me. I punched him,cussed him out, and kicked him in the balls which I'm pretty sure you two just saw. I don't even wanna stay here. Let's just go to my house."

"Don't you mean Mike's house?" Waun butted in.

"I live there so it's my house too."

"Yeah yeah I'll see yall there." he told us walking to his car and winking at me. I playfully rolled my eyes and got into Alica's car.

"Waun get your big ass off of me!" I yelled trying to push him off of me and onto the floor. "Apologize for stealing my food and I will."

"I didn't steal it Alica did." I said which was partly true. I told her to take it and give it to me, so technically she stole it.

"I stole the food. Now get off of her before you kill her." she said pushing him off of me. He hit the floor with a big thud and Alica ran into her room with Mike.

I was laughing my ass off. "Ain't shit funny." he said sitting up on the floor.

"Yeah yeah yeah. You're just upset because you got push down by someone who's half your size." I responded playing with my phone.

I felt him staring at me so, i looked at him. "Why are you staring at me?"

"I'm not staring. I'm looking."

"Okay well why are you looking at me?"

"Because i felt like it." I smacked my lips and turned back to my phone. He got off of the floor and sat by me pulling me onto his lap where I was straddling him. Sometimes i hated being so small.
