A FEW WEEKS HAD PASSED since the party and the encounters with fred. they've definitely been more friendly with each other. they were both glad that they had resolved things. mainly fred, who felt stupid for even being mean to her in the first place.

they started to all study together and do work for lupin's class. venus, george, freya, and fred would all go to the library or out by the black lake if it wasn't raining. they all had fun together, and even lee joined them at times.

they had to convince their friends it was just for class, but nonetheless they still managed to hang out. fred still had a jealousy problem, and though he didn't hide it very well, venus was oblivious to his obvious feelings.

of course venus had feelings for fred as well, much to freya's knowledge, and she tried to explain that fred felt that same way- but venus had convinced herself that fred would never feel that way towards her.

quidditch practice had been going very well and venus was sure her team was going to win against whoever loses this next match. ravenclaw plays hufflepuff, and whoever won that game would play slytherin in the next match. whoever lost would play gryffindor.

overall, venus was happy with how things were going. she was shocked with where she was at, and if you would have told her a year ago that she was hanging out with fred and george weasley and actually enjoying it, she would have laughed in your face.

thinking about all the past events that happened, venus decided she should write to phoenix to update her and get updated on things that had happened with her.  on her way to the common room, after her last class of the day, venus was minding her own business. she was deep in her thoughts and didn't seem to notice someone standing in front of her.

before she could run into them though, they swung an arm around her shoulder and began walking with her. venus looked up to see fred grinning down at her. "hello, firecracker." she said quietly, looking forward.

"hello, love. what you up to?" fred asked her, guiding her to the slytherin common room. "just going to chill. you?" venus replied grinning from the nickname he had given her. "same. how were classes?" he asked once more. "not bad. wanna smoke?" she laughed looking up at the boy. he laughed and looked down at her, "i can't pass up an offer now can i?" he asked with a smirk.

venus looked up at him, "well actually-" she began but was cut off by him, "i'm goin'." he simply said as they walked down the stairs, stopping in front of the portrait. venus mumbled the passcode and the portrait swung open. venus grabbed fred's wrist and pulled him towards her dorm.

she sighed thankfully upon walking in and finding her room empty. "welcome to mi dorm." venus laughed softly going to her bedside table drawer and pulling out a blunt wrap and her bag of weed. she sat down at her desk as fred sat down on her bed.

"got any smoke spot suggestions?" venus asked fred. fred thought for a moment, "we can go outside somewhere." he suggested. "there's a hidden spot near hagrid's hut in the forbidden forest. it's on the edge in an open area, it's pretty." venus told him as she began rolling the blunt.

fred smiled slightly and nodded, "sounds good." he replied. venus finished rolling up and then stood, fred following. venus grabbed a lighter and shoved it in her pocket along with the blunt. the both of them walked downstairs, "where are you two off to?" raven asked with a smirk.
