Everything must come to an end.

I wasn't in control of myself anymore. I was simply doing whatever I pleased without considering how my actions can lead to dire consequences.

The government would break down. Fear will be seared into the hearts of people. The government would also be terrorised and riots would probably break out in front of the building.

That's just based on what I think.

The ceremony had begun. I took my place at the seat meant for the leader of the clan. And finally, I have achieved what I have been sacrificing so much for.

"Henry Stickmin, our new leader!" Reginald announced. Claps of joy got louder as the hat was slowly placed on my head.

"Make us proud, kid." Right Hand Man appeared beside me and gave me a pat on the back. "We are no longer enemies." Yes. I recall the endless fights we had.

I've won, but at what cost? It was too late before I realised that.

You need to sometimes look in the eyes of a person to know how they are suffering.

As I sat in that seat I felt the flow of respect around the room. And the best part was, they were all for me.

A singular soul was inside me, it just didn't belong to the old me. The old me sat in the darkness and gave the new me all the control he could have wanted... and perhaps even more. Oh my goodness, I had everything I yearned for...

But...

Something's wrong. Something was missing.

"I never fully understood that.. kid.."

"Hmph. I knew it. I knew it was him! We should ha-"

"WILL YOU SHUT UP? JUST. FOR. ONCE. PLEASE."

Frank became rigid. It was not like Hubert to yell in that manner, but he eventually realised what he had done.

"...S-sorry.. I'm s-sorry.. ah.. Shi-shit..." Hubert mumbled, his hands shaking, voice cracking. It has been a week. He knew the truth, but still couldn't bear to accept it.

Frank left the office in silence, leaving Hubert to his mourning. One doesn't have to be dead in order for their loved ones to mourn. In my opinion mourning can apply to anything.

Hubert laid his head on the table, pushing all the documents and files away, out of his sight. He didn't want anything to do with them now. Somebody expected him to act like this, but it wasn't his fault. He couldn't stay in such a state for long either. He needed a solution to this whole catastrophe.

"Hey there.. you do-" Lily suddenly stopped speaking. She knew the answer to her own question, and it was also a stupid one to ask too.

Charles walked in. Lily ran over to his side to help him to the nearest seat. Mearui saw the wheeled office chair and kicked it over to the two.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry.." Charles spoke. He knew he still had to be professional even when all hope was lost, but he just couldn't. No one is going to force him now. No one had any mood to do work either.

"Oh for fuck's sake." Mearui exclaimed.

"Language! Watch that!" Lily snapped at him. She wasn't used to hearing bad words at that high degree. Oh so badly she wanted to scream bad words too.

"Just. Just let me sleep." Charles muttered in the seat. Lily walked away back to Mearui who was playing games on his computer. She can't blame him. It was his coping mechanism.

"You can't do this now, can you? Well then, it's my turn now. Hope you don't mind." Frank picked up the folders and glanced through them, paying not much attention to the motionless Hubert.

"Finally, we can do things my way."

"New orders in, guys." Lily announced to Mearui and Charles.

"New target: Henry Stickmin. Mr Noel commands for it."

"Noel? I thought Galeforce is the top brass around here." Mearui asked.

"Apparently, Galeforce is not able to do anything now, as I was told."
