☀️🌙

Two weeks have passed. And Hinata was starting to get anxious. None of the jobs he applied for, had reached out or contacted him, at all. He was worried. As sad as it was to even think about it, he didn't want to be playing volleyball anymore. But he needed a good enough reason to quit the team.

He couldn't just leave and hope for the best. Because once he leaves he'll either have to drop out of university or find a job so he can continue to study.

So, in a way. Hinata applying to all those jobs was a good thing.

Currently, he was sitting in a café as he looked through his emails. He had a cup of tea and some cookies on a plate next to his laptop. A frown on his plump lips as he scrolled through the many unread emails. None of them were what he was looking for. He refreshed the page.

Taking the cup of tea and taking a sip from it. He placed the porcelain teacup down on the small plate. And bit his bottom lip as he waited for the page to load.

A weird high-pitched sound came out of Shōyō's mouth.

He quickly clicked on the email from one of the many places he applied for. Only for the frown to return to his face as he read through the letter. They were rejecting him.

It was worded well and misleading, if he didn't know any better then he would have thought they hired him. But unfortunately, he had read through a couple of emails rejecting his job application, the day before. The thing they all had in common was one sentence, 'This letter is to let you know that you have not been selected for the position.' They wish him the best in his job search but he knew that they didn't care. It was bullshit. The 'thank you' for taking interest in their company. Because if they did wish him the best and thanked him for choosing them, then they would have hired him.

Well, at least they were decent enough to send an email.

Hinata sat back and sighed. He wanted to cry from all the stress. Shōyō let out a tired breath as he closed his laptop and put it in his backpack. The ginger finished his drink and snacks before paying and leaving the small café.

He was walking down the sidewalk paying attention to his surroundings so no one would come up and surprise him like Kageyama did last time.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Mister Tsukishima, I'm done sending all of the emails you told me to send," Yachi said, walking into the office and over to the desk where the CEO was currently sitting.

Tsukishima just nodded and hummed as he looked between five different files. All belong to the five people. It was between three women and two men.

He might have to hire them all seeing as some of his employee's secretaries will be retiring soon. Which confused him as they were all young, but whatever. I guess people are retiring whenever they want now.

Yachi was standing in front of his desk while biting her bottom lip. She leaned down and placed both of her palms flat on the wooden desk. This made her blouse fall, exposing her chest area. "Tsukishima, are you going anywhere after this?" The tone in her voice was seductive. Suggesting something that isn't very professional in their line of work.

"Miss Yachi," Kei sighed, he looked up at her. "We've talked about his." He eyed her before looking back down at the file of papers he was reading. "If you're done with your work you can head home." He dismissed her, hoping that she would just leave and not do her usual blabbering.

Yachi frowned. "Kei~ come on, let's go out for dinner." She whined.

"And it starts," Tsukishima mumbled shaking his head and closing the file in his hands. "Miss Yachi, you are not permitted to call me that. We are not friends, much less are we close enough for us to be on first name bases." He looked at her with his usual cold eyes. "Now, I suggest that you leave if you're finished with your work. Or you can find yourself unemployed by tomorrow."

He tapped his finger on one of the files. "There are plenty of qualified soon-to-be employees we have just interviewed. You wouldn't want to be replaced by one of them, do you?" He smirked before picking up the file again and continuing to read.

Yachi straightened her back and let out a huff. How annoying, all of the advances she had made on him never worked. And if they did they would end up being on someone from another department or a different company. "Good night, mister Tsukishima." She said and walked out of his office. She picked up her bag that was sitting on top of her desk and left the building. A pout on her face the whole time.

Tsukishima shook his head, he was watching her through the security cameras. He didn't want to repeat what happened a few months ago.

The blond had told her to leave one night and to his shock and surprise. She was still waiting for him outside his office when he got out. It wouldn't have been a big deal if it weren't that it was around five in the morning at that time.

He leaned back in his chair, his hand going under his glasses to rub his eyes then pinch the bridge of his nose. The CEO was tired from the night before when he and his goons went on a mission. It annoyed him how he still had to come to work right after it.

Tsukki clicked his tongue.

Another thing that was annoying him. Was it that he didn't know how his orange-haired sunshine was doing? He doesn't want to put someone to spy on the boy, as he might get freaked out. But he also wants to know everything he's doing.

However, he didn't dwell on the feeling for long. Instead, he focused on his work. Going through each file and seeing all the potential candidates for the job position. His eyes slightly widened when he came across a certain ginger's file. Which coincidentally, was the last file in the stack.

His lips quirked up into a smirk. It faltered when he realized that he hadn't interviewed him personally. The carrot top hadn't come into his office and sat in front of him like everyone else had done, he would have had the opportunity to stare at his facial features.

Was it the day he left for a meeting and Yachi and another employee had to take over for him?

How disappointing. He didn't get to see him during the three long days of interviews.

Tsukishima bit the inside of his cheek as he looked through the file. Damn it. He was inexperienced. With a long sigh, he turned to his computer. He wrote a professional email and sent it.

A perfect opportunity.
