Oikawa woke up the next morning with red puffy eyes and an aching headache, as he was getting his uniform on he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror "I look like shit." He said unamused, he quickly washed his face and ran out the door after realizing he was going to be late.He made it to class just a few minutes before the bell and luckily avoided any sort of contact with Iwaizumi. During the lesson Oikawa did some thinking and decided to talk to Iwaizumi after class about... yesterday, but as soon as the bell rang Iwaizumi rushed out of the classroom. 'He must be avoiding me' Oikawa thought.
Soon lunch came and Oikawa went to his usual lunch spot except there was something missing... Iwaizumi. He decided to look around for him and saw him talking to a girl, she looked like a second year. 'That's weird iwa-Chan never talks to girls' Oikawa wondered.
Soon lunch ends and Oikawa leaves to his next class. The classes go by fast and before he knew it it was the end of the day. He had to talk to Iwaizumi before practice. Everyone would know something was wrong if they avoided each other the whole time.
While rushing to the club room Oikawa luckily spots a lonely Iwaizumi. He grabs his sleeve.
"we need to talk" Oikawa says as sternly as possible. "No we don't" The boy takes a step back "what the hell do you mean?" Iwazumi's expression changes to confusion when realizing Oikawa's angry tone. "Are you just gonna act like nothing happened?" Oikawa asks. The spiky haired boy turns away, "Iwaizumi!" Oikawa yells holding back tears. Iwazumi turns back to face Oikawa astonished. "I- I" he stuttered, "just say it iwa-" Iwaizumi interrupts Oikawa mid sentence...
"I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND."
Oikawa didnt know what to say, all he knew was that he wanted to leave, to go home, to cry. Now he knows that he never had a chance with iwazumi, but he can't let him know that he ever wanted him to begin with.
"S-since when?" Oikawa asks holding back tears. "Today, it's Sazuke Yua. She's a second year." Oikawa tilts his head down "do you love her?" He mumbles, "I might" Iwaizumi whispers. All Oikawa could muster up was a simple "okay" and walk away.
Practice ended early since the coach had a family event to attend to. Usually Oikawa would stay behind to practice with Iwaizumi but today he decided it was best he go home.
The minute he reached his bed he cried himself to sleep thinking about the unfortunate events that occurred that day.
He woke up and looked out his window. It was dark out. Oikawa reached for his phone and checked the time, it read "11:52". He tried to fall back asleep but he couldn't keep his mind off a certain boy. And his girlfriend....
He once again picked up his phone and opened his social media. He typed the name "Sazuke Yua" into the search bar and clicked on the account. She was pretty, really, really pretty. Of course Iwaizumi would have such a beautiful girlfriend, they deserved each other.
Oikawa noticed the circle around her profile picture was a different color then usual suggesting she had posted something on her story. He tapped on the icon to see a picture of her and Iwaizumi hugging at some other girls house. 'God, now iwa-Chan's going to party's too. He never went to party's when I asked him..." Oikawa thought.
The boy had finally had enough and decided to go for a late night drive, it was now about 12:34am. He wasn't worried about his parents catching him since they where on a another work trip.
He got into his car and turned the key. As he backed out of his garage he felt sluggish but continued his drive anyway.
About 20 minutes in he found himself looping his neighborhood for the 8th time. He didn't turn on the radio, he only listened to the hum of the cars engine and his own thoughts.
He wasn't paying attention until two bright lights started to come closer to him. At first he was confused, then soon realized it was another car.
But it was already too late.
