Sentient Races:

Humans - Do I really need to add a description?

Nephalim - A person who appears human, but is of both Celestial and Infernal heritage. Due to the duality of their heritage, there is much distrust towards them. Their lifespans can last for tens of thousands of years.

Elves - Tall slender and androgynous. It is hard to tell the males from the females. They are intelligent, cunning, and for the most part, neutral in most things.

Dwarves - Short, stubborn, yet hardy people, easily identified by their broad shoulders and large beards. The females also have beards, which do not grow nearly as long as males.

Orcs - Medium sized green skinned warrior like people that respect honor and glory above all else. The females tend to sharpen their tusks to a fine point, meant to kill, where as males have more blunt tusks. Now purely cosmetic, their tusks were once used as a way to establish status. Short tusks were considered low status and a cowards mark, and long tusks were considered high status in their clans.

In regards to Magika:

There are four types of magic that exist in this world.

The first, and oldest, is Shamanism. Practitioners of Shamanism, or rather Shamans, draw their abilities from the Earth.
The second is the Arcane. Practicioners of the Arcane, or rather Mages, draw their ability from study and repetition.
The third is Celestial. Celestial magic comes from both associating, or conversing, with Angels. Rumor has it some practitioners of Celestial magic, known as Clerics, have power that comes from deals with Demons. However this rumour has yet to be confirmed.
The last known, and forbidden by all races, is Necromancy. It is unclear how Necromancers obtain their ability, whether through study or gifted by demons. However one thing is clear about Necromancy, no good can come of it. It is so heinous, that even the Infernals distrust and hate Necromancers. For you see, even the Infernals respect and honor Death.
