What To Do?

As the morning comes
Everybody's on their phones
Silently killing ourselves
Every edge we roam

The pollution stinks
Animals are going extinct
Pollution in land and water
Makes it hard for the things that breathe

But there's a bigger problem
That we avoid to see
That hinders us to overcome them
Instead of being free

Climate change is a real thing
Yet some don't believe it exists
Must act like a team instead of a king
Temptation to destroy we must resist

The forests we set afire
And the glaciers that we melt
We don't deserve to be a crier
If we don't know what they felt

Our actions cause the ozone layer
To deteriorate before our eyes
Why do we send out a prayer
Expecting a fix the future lies

We are the cause of this current change
One we do not desire
Promises made to get out of this cage
I guess you can call us liars

We never wanted this, but what do you expect
Within we asked for it yet demand respect?
One of us thinks thus all of us sees
Yet entirely opposite and seek what we please

What are we doing here shutting our minds
What is the use, the purpose of our finds
Our cries heard, no action taken
The existence of humanity must be mistaken

We cause a gas from fossil fuel
A gas we state could be so cruel
From where this black smoke is emmiting
We hear no answer, it must be quitting

No more are the bodies of water we seek
But more of the dead lands shall be so meek
No more are the greens, the highs and the lows
And shall not be a friend but considered a foe

No more will our time go to waste
If we take a stand, make a move at a haste
If we make a way and follow through
No more will anyone ask

"What to do?"
