Chapter 5

Author's pov

Mina :*angry *she isn't supposed to be here.
Yoongi : *super angry * you lied to us.
Mina : I had to. I had no other way to protect her.
Yoongi :*scoffs* protect her? Then where were you when she was attacked countless times?
Mina :*confused * attacked? The last time I checked on her she was safe and sound.
Namjoon : when was the last time you checked??
Mina : 5 years ago.
Yoongi : 5 YEARS AGO ?? ARE YOU IN your RIGHT MIND?
Mina : don't shout at me. I didn't have time. I was busy finding a way to destroy that necklace.
Yoongi : why did you lie in the first place?

Silence, Mina couldn't find words to frame a proper answer to satisfy a super angry vampire. She knew she would face this situation one day. She knew, one day everyone will get to know the truth. But she did what she felt was right. And she knew when the time comes she will have to give a proper explanation for her actions. But she didn't know that they all will come to the truth so soon.

Mina : okay fine, sit, I'll tell you everything that happened that night.
Everyone sat down with their full focus on what she was going to say.
But their focus was deviated by none other than y/n.

Y/n : aunt Mina? What are you doing here?
Y/n was shocked to see Mina here.
Tae : aunt Mina??
Mina : y/n dear, come here.
She called her and patted the space beside her. Y/n without any thoughts moved towards her and sat down beside her.
Mina : how are you, my dear?
Y/n: I'm good aunt Mina? But why are you here? And why didn't you come to meet me? You know I missed you a lot.
She said looking at Mina with her puppy eyes. It seems like they had a great bonding between them. And this confused the other members sitting on the opposite side of the sofa.

Jin : I think you created a lot of mess Mina, spill it out.
Mina : okay fine. No will interrupt me.

Mina : I knew Victoria was going to attack Masalis house. But because her followers blocked my way, I couldn't reach on time. But when I reached there she had already killed the other members of the family except for Maia and y/n. Maia was trying to protect y/n with her life. I got some time and seeing the right time I stabbed Victoria and sealed her powers in the pendant. After I was done with the pendant I tried saving Maia and Y/n but Maia was injured badly. 'keep my little angel safe ' were her last words. I don't blame myself for other's death that night but I surely blame myself for letting go of Maia, I could have saved her but... She did not come with me she said she wants me to bury all the three siblings together and she also left a message for yoongi. *mina handed yoongi a letter* . I'm sorry I didn't have the courage to give it to you sooner. And Y/n I'm really sorry for lying to you about your parents' death. *mina explains the whole story of the Masalis family and all the history to Y/n*

Y/n was devastated after learning the truth, she was angry at everyone who tried to hide the reason for her existence but she understands the reason behind it. Y/n got up immediately and ran towards the room she came out of. She was heartbroken. The woman she trusted all the 20 years of her life actually lied to her. Y/n reached her room and closed the door behind her, she fell on her knees and broke down crying.

Seeing Y/n run away from there tae immediately got up to follow her but was stopped by Mina.
Mina : don't go behind her taehyung, give her some space. It's not easy for her or anyone in her place. It's not easy to absorb so much at once.
Taehyung only nodded in response but he could feel her right now, he could feel the anger and frustration inside her. he couldn't help but to give her some time.

Yoongi had the letter in his hands, the letter his lover left for him in the last few minutes of her life. He quietly exited the room to read it in peace. He went up to his room and locked it so that no one enters and sees him in his most vulnerable state. With shaky hands, he opens the letter and reads it.

" yoongi,
I don't have much time but I have so much to say to you. Destiny played with us, you remember me tell you that I have something very important to say to you, even though I don't want to tell you now because I won't be alive but still I'll tell you because it's your right to know about it. I'm pregnant yoongi, but I'm sorry.

Please take care of y/n just like how you used to when she was in my womb. I told Mina to send her away but please keep checking on her, be her family, be there for her. Even though I'm not her biological mother but I'm her birth mother and I love her like my own child. I can't give birth to our child as I won't be alive so please take care of Y/n considering her your child, fulfill your dreams of being a father by becoming a father figure for her. And can you visit me at my grave every weekend?  I'm not asking for much.

Yoongi broke down crying. He kept mumbling some words. "I'm sorry my love, I'm sorry. " " I couldn't fulfill your last wishes " " I'm so sorry " " but I promise from now on I'll be a father figure for her " "I'll treat her as my child " "I'm sorry " . These were the only words coming out of his mouth.

Meanwhile, in the hall room, everyone was worried about the two people who were crying for their lost loved ones.

Mina : I think I should leave.
Namjoon : yeah, come I'll escort you till the gate.
Namjoon suggested and left with Mina. While they were going Mina turned to Namjoon and checked out if anyone else was near them or not and then she placed her hand on his shoulder and whispered something as she was scared that someone might listen to them.

Mina : they are planning something, you guys need to be very careful.
Namjoon : wh-what?
