Papa's gift [Engineer Angst Fanfic]

The Workshop's atmosphere is unnaturally quiet, there's no usual sounds of a machine working, just the sound of breathing feeling the entire room. The Engineer slowly pick the pill bottle up and look over it. They let out a sigh. His father sent this to him, yet he doesn't know what it is. The label on it was painted it over.

"What did ya send to me, pa...?"

The Workbench was void of any blueprints or machine parts, just a glass of water sitting on the bench. He took a deep breath in, and exhaled loudly. Well. Pa said in the letter it would be fine. He just had to take it every once a week. He open up the bottle and pour out two pills into his gloved hand. 1...2...3. He put the pills in his mouth and drowned it in water from the glass, swallowing it. He turned around, glass still in hand, to go back to what he was doing before but...he won't get far.

Suddenly, the Engineer started to gag, bending over slightly with his hands over his stomach. The glass falling from his hand and shatter on impact onto the floor. He starts coughing, blood splashing  onto the floor from his mouth. He gag and coughed, more blood pouring out. Some of it got on his boots, he dropped the pill bottle that's still in his hand. The pills falling out of the bottle. He cover his mouth as he coughed up more and more blood.

After what seems like hours, in reality it was only five(5) minutes. He stopped coughing and groaned weakly. He's shaking, his naked eyes wide open. His eyes focus on the pool of blood in front of him. He let out a small cough.

"P-Pa..."

He mumbled quietly as he stumble, losing his balance slightly.

"A-Ah...ah thought...ah could trust...you."

His eyes closed and he fell onto the cold floor. The Workshop is quiet once more. There's no breathing this time.
