*Dan's POV*

The next day we got a call from Dr. Jones. She informed us that Phil's thumb wasn't broken, just bruised pretty badly. He wouldn't need a cast, but he should try to avoid using it for about a week, and keep the brace on. Shouldn't be too hard seeing as Phil was right handed.

"Ok, well, thank you so much Dr. Jones. See you around!" I said, then hung up. I set down the phone and sighed. I hated talking on the phone. It was so awkward for some reason.

"Hey Dan?" Phil asked. I looked up at him to see that he was blushing and looking down at his feet. He was so adorable, all shy and embarrassed like that.

"Yeah?" I encouraged, curious about what could possibly have him so flustered.

"Do you want to... I don't know... Go on a date with me?" he asked. He said the last part so quietly it was almost inaudible, but I heard him anyways.

"Phil, of course I would! What makes you think I wouldn't?" I said, smiling at him.

"I-I don't know... So you really do?" he asked again, a bit more confident this time.

"No, Phil, I just said that to mess with you," I said sarcastically. Phil immediately paled, and I realized he must have been so nervous that he missed my sarcasm. "Of course I want to go on a date with you Phil! I was just being sarcastic. Sorry," As soon as I said this his expression changed to one of immense relief.

"Oh thank God. Who knew it could be so hard to ask someone out on a date?" Phil stated, obviously a bit embarrassed about missing the sarcasm. "So, what should we do?"

"I don't know. Maybe we should just walk around, get dinner at some random restaurant?" I said, unable to think of anything better. A thoughtful expression appeared on Phil's face, and he eventually nodded.

"Sounds good. I can't really think of anything better to do that isn't extremely cliché," he admitted.

"Great. It's a date!" I said, winking at Phil. He just looked at me with an expression his face that said 'I am so done with your stupid, barely there puns'. After a few seconds, however, he started laughing at my awful kind-of joke, and I grinned. I was happy that I still knew how to make my Phil smile.

Welp. I know, I'm bad at updating. I would love it if I wasn't shot... please? I've started drawing things lately (which is what the thing at the top is[it isn't actually original, I copied it from another fanart]) so I have been occupied with other things.... I was going to upload this a few nights ago, but instead I've been catching up with Supernatural... AND CAN I JUST SAY, HOLY SHIT IS THERE PLOT. SO MUCH PLOT. I have also had weekday basketball games which are annoying. I'll try to be better, and I'm promising myself that tonight I will write at least half of a chapter :)

Aaannnnnyyyyywaaaayyyyssss

It's Wishful Wednesday! *insert cheering sound effects*
So, something I've been wishing for a while now was that I had the ability to physically switch between genders whenever I wanted to. I just think it would be interesting to be able to experience the advantages/disadvantages of each gender. Of course, I also just want to skip periods. Forever.

I hope you enjoy this (extremely late/short) chapter.
