When he appeoached the pile of bones, he didnt even flinch, as the bones were stacking themselves together. Right in front of him appeared a stalfos, sword and shield at the ready.
Crossing his own swords, Link blocked the first blow, causing a clank to resonate through the small space.
Taking the appearance in, the stalfos seemed like every other he met in his previous journey. It was just a skeleton swinging a sword and holding a shield.
Link squinted his eyes, wauting fir an opening in its attacks.
Another blow met his crossed swords and the swirdsman frowned. There was something required but Link couldn't really see what exactly.
"Ghirahim?", Link grunted through clenched teeth, the force coming from the skeleton was higher than it had been in his memories. "Do you have anything to say about this enemy? Any of tips on how to defeat it?"
A snarl ran through his mind. Link rolled his eyes briefly, as he slashed at his opponent for the first time only to be met with the unforgiving shield.
As easy as it seems to just slash at the shield until this fool finally drops it, as mindless would it be.
"No shit, really? That much I've gathered"
However -, Ghirahim went on, unaffected by Link's attitude. I've seen during battles that you're quite agile, flexible I might say, as I've seen you doing backflips in the past. Try going around your opponent by rolling, avoiding the shield and attacking it from behind.
That was... actually a great suggestion. Still holding the swords defensively, Link waited for the perfect moment. He knew that the stalfos would jump a little bit forward anytime he charged an attack, trying ti get its muscle mass into its movements.
There he saw the opportunity, the opening he was waiting for. As soon as the stalfos was beginning to charge, Link got into position, the swords pressed flat to his chest protectively as he rolled sideways, around his opponent.
The stalfos didn't register what was happening, as Link came to a halt right vehind it, swords finally connecting with its bones, slashing a couple of times.
It worked.
It really worked!
The stalfos was quick to turn around, trying to counterattack but was again met with crossed swords.
Link's foe stumbled backwards, shield hanging uselessly in one hand and the human braced himself for another roll around it.
The swords connected with the bomes for a second time.
A/N: at this point i kinda gave up, so here are the notes of what i wanted to write:
