What? I actually have an update for you? Yes, I have and I absolutely love it. We are now entering the next huge arc! It feels good to be a bit more productive with writing. I hope yall are doing good and take care!

Thank you for the great resonance I got from the last chapter! Really you are the ones that still drive me to write this. If everything goes the way I intend it to, this story will have up to 50 or 60 chapters so it won't be finished anytime soon.

Anyways, now enjoy this little chapter, 19 is already in the making so yeah.

Link's eyes traveled around the room, in search of something that could mime the entrance to that world Ghirahim had mentioned. All he saw were the strange paintings on the walls, a color glass window on the upper half of the circled room, and otherwise just the pillars he used to hide himself the time he had to fight the demon lord.

Link's frown deepened, doubt clouding his mind, as his eyes settled down on said demon, questioningly. 'Where should that entrance actually be?' He asked, head tilting to the side as he watched the demon lord's figure intensely.

Ghirahim was silent for another short moment, fixing one of the paintings in particular. "Come here", he said, clearly speaking to Link. The Skyloftian just blinked for a second or two before he eventually got up, trotting slowly towards the gray man in front of him.

The demon waited patiently, eyes traveling over Link. He even smiled a little bit. Link on the other hand thought that his behavior was... odd.

Once he came to a halt, Ghirahim traced a finger over the painting he had last gazed upon. It was a landscape, beautifully drawn with acrylic.

"This is the kingdom we shall enter. That," his finger drew slightly over the huge building in the middle of it all, "is the castle itself." The building looked old, almost ancient with all the moss around the edges. "The alleyway is decorated with pink trees on the sideways. They are called cherry blossom trees, through the year they would have these pink leaves on their branches", Ghirahim explained further, as his fingers traced over the trees. Link's eyes followed those slim hands, maybe a moment too long hovering over the pale skin before he eyed the blossoms. They were indeed beautiful.

"And the alleyway leads to the castle city. The people around there are looking very gleeful and if you ask me I've never seen anything more idyllic than that." Ghirahim's sonorous voice took a dreamy tone and Link caught himself drowning in the melodious sound, head spinning. He tried to shook these thoughts out of his mind.

He was right about the beauty of the landscape, Link had to admit. The painting itself felt very much alive too.

But something above it caught his attention once more. Above all that throned a triforce, the right triangle colored in green, while the others were in that typical golden tone. Link's gaze automatically drifted down to his marked hand.

"If you touch that", Ghirahim pointed to the triforce on the wall, "the entrance will appear, letting only those in that it will deem worthy."

Link gulped, fixing the triforce above that all. It was just in the right height for him to touch it comfortably. "What will happen, if one is not worth it?" Came the question out of his mouth, eyes wearily going over Ghirahim to Fi.

But Fi shook her head. >That won't happen, as long as you are with us.<

Link frowned even deeper at that. How was she so sure of that? By what he understood, this realm was even beyond Hylia's control. A thought of how the demon had such an amount of knowledge about that realm grazed his mind but he didn't really dwell on it. There were more important things that mattered right now.

He heard a snap of fingers as he saw the red cloak appearing around Ghirahim, without a hood, but still with the diamond imprints on the inside. "Well", Ghirahim declared, new cheer finding, "are you ready?" His gaze wandered to Fi, as she nodded without hesitation. Link felt the sensation of her getting back into the master sword. He half expected Ghirahim to follow her suit and get back into his as well, but he just remained in that expectant pose. As if saying, what are you waiting for? Open it.

Link shook off that strange feeling as he lifted his hand towards the triforce. His marked hand glowed brightly, so brightly that even Ghirahim had to turn away.

With awe written over his face, Link observed the shifting walls. A portal appeared right over the painting, similar to the gate of time but colored in luscious green.

"Well", Ghirahim called out once more. "After you."

~

Being soaked in by the gate felt disconcerting, to say the least. It felt like your soul was torn from your body and then torn apart slowly. It wasn't quite the feel of agony that buzzed through your body but huge discomfort paired with the feeling of being lost, lost in your own voids.

As quickly as the feeling came it disappeared again, leaving an odd sensation of relaxation behind. Only to be interrupted by the sensation of falling onto the grass from a great height.

Link groaned from the impact, huffing from the grass he just sucked into his mouth. Slowly he shook his head as he steadied himself, trying to get up, his hands buried into the fresh earth beneath him.

At that moment he felt the air pushed out of his lungs again, as he felt a great weight falling onto his back. With a thud, his head landed back in the dirt.

A deep chuckle followed soon after, splitting through his headache like a dagger through thin air. "You certainly are quite... comfortable, I must say", Link heard that sonorous voice whispering into his pointed ear, as he tried to fight down that blush that was creeping up his neck.

"Get off of me!", Link snapped as angry as his current position would muster. Another chuckle followed that before he felt the weight being lifted off from him.

Link blinked one or two times before he attempted to get up as he suddenly saw a pale hand stretched out in front of him. He stared in disbelief for a short second before he just shook his head, ignoring the hand with a huff, as he slowly but swiftly got up from the ground, invisible dust shaking off in the process.

The Skyloftian ignored Ghirahim's noise of irritation as he inspected the two swords and the shield hanging on his back for any damage.

He let out a heavy sigh, as he looked around them. They were standing in the middle of a forest glade, surrounded by great cedars and wildflowers. The faint singing of birds was entering Link's ears as he took everything in slowly.

It was almost breathtaking, even more, beautiful then Faron.

"...nk..."

Link was in pure bliss, as he spun around, a face splitting grin plastered around his lips.

"...ink..."

He never saw anything more beautiful then this clearing, even Skyloft's most abandoned little islands couldn't compare.

"Link!"

Only then Link realized what he was doing, as he was about to leave into the forest, going deeper without a single bit of knowledge of this realm.

"I called your name five times, Skychild", the demon said matter-of-factly.

A 'yeah, so' dared to roll over his tongue, but he bit it down. Link didn't know where this was coming from.

His head was spinning, he felt sick, wobbly. He saw Ghirahim in front of him, he saw him moving his lips as if he was talking but couldn't make out any words. He felt himself dropping over, felt strong hands wrapped around his shoulders, felt a shake forcing itself through his body. It was suddenly so difficult to just let his eyes open. It was suddenly so alluring to take a nap with the scent of... of cinnamon and coffee entering his nose.

And then, everything went pitch black, as Link drifted deeper into the woods.
