To increase their chances of successfully defending themselves from the infected outside, Rainbow Dash told Applejack that she needed an ally.

"You have me, kiddo." Applejack remarked as she gave her a pat on the head."

"Great- wait what!  - kiddo!?"  Rainbow responded. She then frowned and took off Applejack's hand from her head, looking irritated. "Excuse me, if you must know, I am nineteen years old! Don't call me a kiddo or I'll put a concussion on your head."

"Well, if you ask me.."  Applejack said with an idiotic grin, "You pretty much look like a kid to me." Applejack chuckled, "Your height said so."

"Shut up!"

"What? I don't lie-"

Applejack's mouth was quickly covered by Rainbow Dash's hand as she yelled, "I said, shut up!" In a whisper, Both of them exchanged intense looks before Rainbow shifted her gaze slightly to the side. "Do you hear that?"  She questioned.

After a brief period of confusion, Applejack eventually noticed an odd sound emanating from the kitchen on the second floor. Rainbow slowly removes her hand from Applejack's mouth as she stared at the door.  Both are now becoming cautious after hearing a loud snarl coming from above in the storage room.

"Dammit! How the hell did that shit get inside the house?"  Rainbow cursed. Applejack held the bat firmly in her hands.

"Well, did you, uh, forget to shut a window or a door?" Rainbow heard Applejack mutter.
"No. How on earth can I forget something like that at times like this, huh?" Rainbow responded to Applejack's hush with a whisper.

"I was just wondering if that is the case." Applejack said in a low voice.

"It wouldn't be because I've been careful for the past hour, so—" Rainbow paused in the middle of a sentence and went silent for a moment. A second later, it hit her. "Fucking God dammit!" She sighed in frustration and slapped her face.

"The entrance to the backyard. Just awhile ago, I was making sure there were no infected people nearby outside in our backyard. Then you two entered my house...I don't think I closed the door properly when I went to the front door... and forgot about it." She said.

Applejack begins to apologize, "I'm sorry... We were trying to get somewhere safe and-" but Rainbow interrupts her before she can finish.

"Save your apologies for later; we have a problem to to take care of."

"So, what do we do now?" Applejack asked.

Rainbow looked at Applejack before loading her shotgun. " "What else? I'm blowing it's ass off—"

She then racked the shotgun and was about to go upstairs when Applejack stopped her. "I don't think that is a very good idea." She began, "If you shoot that one infected with a gun, the other ones outside will hear the gunshot and they will be drawn here.. to us."

Before turning back to face Applejack, Rainbow glanced at her shotgun. "So, what is your plan?"  She questioned.

"I have no idea."

"Of course you don't." Rainbow Dash began, "Here's the plan. You will distract the infected, I'll go lock the backyard door and I'll help you after that." She said.
