I decided to skip 3 weeks ahead of the Custody Battle process.

3 weeks later
NeVaeh POV :

We are basically done with talking to Dr.Macintosh . We have a solid case on Morgan and she practically has nothing.

With all the evidence Jordan has of Morgan with her doing crack , and being unfit.

I wanna see what the bitch look like cause she really have some nerve to try to get custody of Nyla when nobody seen nor know her .

"Can we request to have Nyla run to whoever she wants to live with ?" Jordan asked Dr.Macintosh.

"Um , not really " Dr.Macintosh said.

"Since this process is going faster than it should when can we have the actual custody battle?"

"In 1 week, due to our time frame , so next week we will meet up at the Family court." He informed us.

"Okay." Jordan said

"Let's talk about what's going to go on in the court since this is you all's first time."

"Okay..."

"There is no taking of testimony, and generally speaking, the clients do not say anything. Some of the time, the judge may ask a question or two of either client on a relevant point to the discussions, but generally I do all of the talking.", " also,There is usually only one hearing or trial in any case. That is when witnesses testify, and in a custody case, is a protracted matter which may last anywhere from 3 or 4 to as much as 10 days. In that case the judge will give the child temporarily to the parent the Judge pick, but in this case since the case is so solid he will maybe pick who he wants to get full custody of the child."m

"Will the judge ask Nyla questions , as to if she even knows Morgan or seen her before?" I asked.

"Most likely he will because of the information Jordan has provided stating that 'Nyla never seen Morgan a day in her life.'"

"Speaking of that there will be a law guardian at the family court too, The law guardian's job is to represent the child. For a child under the age of 14, the law guardian has a dual responsibility, which is to represent what he thinks is in the child's best interests, and also advise the Court and advocate for what the child "wants."

"Okay, this should go easy I guess."

"Don't worry I got y'all , i'm going to do everything in my power to let y'all get full custody of Nyla but it will be quite easy because of the pictures provided of Morgan doing the drugs , and all of that stuff , i'll see y'all next week." Dr.Macintosh said grabbing his things to get ready and leave.

"Damn right." He said and turned me around and kissed my neck making me moan.

"We gotta go get Nylaaaa" i said moaning.

"She's.fine.we'll.get.her.later." He said in between kisses.

Nyla had started school 2 weeks ago and she's been having friends and stuff like that.

"You wan' saying that when you was screaming 'ooo papi' , 'fuck this pussy', and shit like that." Jordan said laughing while driving.

"Shut up." I said hitting his chest.

"Na , you just want this daddy dick again." He said holding his shit while walking towards the school.

"Stop being so damn nasty."

"That's you tryna get fucked in the school parking lot."

I just glared at him.

"Who you're trying to pick up?" The lady in the front office asked.

"Nyla Johnson."

"Nevaeh right?"

I shook my head.

"can I talk to you for a moment in private ?"

We walked outside and she sighed.

"What's your last name ?"

"Martin ."

"Your father name ?"

"Thomas Martin." , "What's this about?"

"I just wanted to tell you i'm your sister. Daddy don't even want to talk to me because he says my mama was a 'hoe'.

"That sounds like him."

My daddy grew up without a father so you would think he would try to make effort to be there for his kids and take care of his responsibilities.

"It hurts me I just want to know my father , it's not my fault that whatever went on , went on but it's none of my business and I shouldn't be penalized for that." She vented.

"What time do you get off work ?"

"Actually right now."

"Follow me to daddy house , "

"I don't think that's a good idea NeVaeh."

"Yes , it is now come on , lemme get Nyla and we can leave."
