An Unbroken Promise (Yoimiya x Ayaka high school Au) (REWRITING)

The Meeting[1]

This happens when they are younger so say around 8-10

Imagine meeting someone as a meer child,than getting to know each other. Than to be stripped away and eventually forget each other

Yoimiya(?) pov:

The waves splashed against my bare feet, which was especially enjoyable during summer. But it's kinda weird if it were at night, and it being winter.

But I didn't care, it was fun and gave off a different mood. I'd come here every night after my parents fell asleep, even on school nights.

I was walking near the water whilst occasionally picking up cool seashells I saw. The night was cool as usually, and the ocean was clouded up with mist.

Well, mist actually surrounded me.

I used my lantern, feeling like I was in a horror movie, who knows maybe a ghost will appear.

In the mist I saw a silhouette of a female, who seemed be around my height. And she was coming toward me.

As she grew closer the more creeped out I become. So of course I immediately made a u-turn, but my lucky wasn't good and I tripped over and fell face first into the sand.

???:"Are you okay?"

The voice rang through the mist, it was young and feminine, it was soft and calming, but is this someone or a ghost?

I turned around, my eyes blurred and hurting from the sand that had gone in it when I fell down.

Once my vision cleared up I saw a beautiful girl, who seemed to be around my age, she had pale blue hair.

Yoimiya:"Oh, yes, yes I'm okay"

I smiled gently, my golden eyes sparkling in the moonlight. I gestured the other girl to sit next to me and she did.

Yoimiya:"I'm Yoimiya, what's your name"

???:"Ayaka"

We started conversation, with me speaking the most, like usual. Well ayaka seemed like someone who deosnt speak alot and keeps to herself.

I did just meet ayaka but she seemed as if she was a nice person, I told her about most of the cool and awesome storys I'd hear from my neighbours.

Yoimiya:" Do you think that we're gonna be liked by everyone in the future?"

Ayaka:"I don't think so, only heros are that awesome?"

Yoimiya:"Yea butt... Why can't we be hero's as well!"

Ayaka:"I don't think that's a good idea.."

Yoimiya:"We can fight off bad guys from inazuma with our awesome fighting skills! Imagine I had ice powers and I could freeze all the bad guys"

Ayaka:" Powers don't exist, but if they did, we would work together, I'd melt them with my fire powers"

Yoimiya:"Hee-Hee! Let's promise to beat up all the bad guys and be friends forever..."

Ayaka:"I pinky promise.."

Yoimiya:"I also pinky promise so remember You break a pinkie promise, I throw you on the ice. The cold will kill the pinkie that once betrayed your friend, the frost will freeze your tongue off so you never lie again"

Ayaka:"oh?"

Yoimiya:"Hee-hee"

Ayaka:"I should go home now, bye Yoimiya"

Yoimiya:"Are we going to meet up here again tommorow"

Ayaka:"Alright"

From that moment forth ayaka never broke her promise, every night the two young girls would meet up at that exact spot at the beach.

Their parents didn't notice their absence so it never mattered, the two usually shared plans about fighting bad guys.

Soon enough they considered each other best friends yet still kept it a secret from their parents, because they were scared of getting into trouble.

Plus meeting under the moonlight in secret was a whole different vibe from just well meeting up normally, it was usually very cold, Yoimiya's nose would be runny sometimes but she didn't care.

But nothing lasts forever.

When they were thirteen ayaks parents figured out about their little meetings and banned ayaka from seeing yoimiya.

Ayaka:"Yoimiya, my mother figured out about our meetings. Sorry we can't be friends anymore, I've got to go now"

Those words still haunt me

Yoimiya:"But our promise. WE'RENT WE SUPPOSED TO BE FRIENDS"

Ayaka:"my apologies"

Tears appeared at the edges of my eyes as I yelled, ayaka had her back turned to me. So ovibously she could not see me.

Ayaka turned around for a slight second, pain was evident in her deep blue eyes. Soon enough ayaka was gone and I was alone, sitting in the sand.

I was curled up into a ball, and my vision was blurred and my throat hurt, I was crying so much.

Yoimiya:"You break a pinkie promise, I throw you on the ice. The cold will kill the pinkie that once betrayed your friend, the frost will freeze your tongue off so you never lie again"

I shakily resighted my words from three years ago, my voice horse from all the crying.

The only reason I was so sad was because ayaka was a good friend and..i think I was in love with her.

It may sound silly considering, I'm a girl, she's a girl. It would never work out. But I couldn't help but admire her beautiful features amongst the moonlight, now imagine how beautiful she must be during the daytime.

I realised I been sobbing for hours and I walked back toward my home,slightly sobbing.

The window near the side of my room was the way I snuck out, so of course I headed back through it.

Unfortunately that night I didn't get good sleep, due to my mind being clouded up with bad thoughts.
