An Unbroken Promise (Yoimiya x Ayaka high school Au) (REWRITING)

Yoimiya pov:

It was a warm Summer night, waves splashed against my bare feet as I walked across the sea shore. Well I'll just pretend it's Summer, because it's a winter night and far off from being warm.

But I didn't care. I enjoyed it. It gave off a different feeling, one that you never experienced before. I'd come here every night, even if it was school.

Whilst I walked, I'd pick up the sea shells, some were big some were small. I just took everything. I could eventually have a huge collection of beautiful sea shells.,

A cold wind would sweep the beach and suddenly mist rose slight above the ground. It looked so magical, I couldn't believe my eyes.

I took my lantern and turned it on. Realizing this situation was more of a horror film that a fairytale. Looking around for a ghost to suddenly appear amist the mist.

I saw a silhouette of a female. She was about my height, and was approaching me. My heart stopped. Is this a ghost.

As she grew closer, I became even more creeped out. I'd turn around and attempt to rush off, but with my luck I ended falling face first into the sand.

"Oh my, are you okay?"
I'd hear a soft sounding feminine voice and feel two warm hands on my shoulders.

Id turn around and face the female. My vision was blurred so I couldn't make out her features but she seemed beautiful either way.

I'd remain silent then wipe my eyes and stare at the beautiful girl in front of me.

"Are you a ghost?"
I'd ask being very confused.
She'd laugh and we'd make direct eye contact. The more I look at her the more beautiful she gets.

"No I'm a real human being, silly. You got frightened and fell over. Are you hurt?"
She'd ask, examining my arms and legs for any wounds.
"I don't think I'm hurt, thanks for asking uhh... What's your name?"
I'd ask whilst smiling brightly.
"It's Ayaka. Kamisato Ayaka. Nice to meet you..."
"Yoimiya! Naganohara Yoimiya!"

From that day forth, I'd meet up with Ayaka at that beach. We'd have so much fun and talk about anything and everything or just enjoy each other's presence.

Some days we both were exhausted and would just lay next to each other. The moon would always be extra big and bright as if it knew we were there. Enjoying life. As two young children should do.

But. Nothing lasts forever. Promises are made but are never kept. It happens everyday. Over and over. Most people are liars.

"Yoimiya. I'm sorry but my mom says we can't meet up anymore.. I'm sorry."
Ayaka says, then hugs me whilst sobbing. I'd hug her back, and cry on her shoulder.
"But.. But...you promised... We were supposed to stay together forever.."
I'd say and Ayaka would cry even harder.
"I know.. I'm sorry friend. Hopefully we'll meet in high school..or someday when we're grown ups. And we'll start all over again. Kay? Promise to be my friend in another live or if we meet again."

Ayaka would pull away from the hug and stare into my eyes. My vision would be blurred, from all the tears.
"I promise. I'll be your friend again.. I'll miss you Kamisato Ayaka."
I'd say and Ayaka would frown
"I'll miss you too Naganohara Yoimiya.. Just know I love you.."
She says turning around then walking away.

I'd fall down to my knees and start sobbing for the rest of the night. I didn't want to go home. I didn't want to go anywhere. I just wanted to be with my friend, Ayaka. I don't want to talk to anyone else. Why did her mother have to find out?

Maybe one day, we'll meet when we're older. Or in another life. We'll be husband and wife, or cat and dog. Mother and daughter. Father and son. Prey and hunter. Whatever it is, hopefully we'll be together and spend our last moments with each other.

I could be reincarnated as a crazy wife named Mary and Ayaka would be my husband, John. She leaves me for another women and I hit her over the head with a leg of lamb.

I just want to see Ayaka again. That's all I want in life.
