"Nghhh" You groaned as you sat up. You had managed to save yourself before hitting the ground  . The adrenaline rush had given young enough energy.

You stood up and almost immedietly fell back down. The pain in your torso was back. Blood stained your fingers as you withdrew your hand form your torso. The stitches were open yet again.

You stood up and looked around at the wreckage. The only thing that wasn't destroyed was a door that seemed to open into pure darkness.

"I'm sorry Howl." You whispered before entering the dark corridor the door led to.

You walked in darkness blood dripping down your face and hands.

Everything was black but then a small blueish light appeared ahead. You followed it and found yourself in a small concrete house with little windows and a desk.

A light appeared and disappeared in the window. You went outside to see what the light source was.

You were shocked when you found yourself in the flower field that Howl had shown you.

You remembered how he told you stories from his childhood and how he had grown up here.

A ball of light streaked down form the sky and danced across the water before disappearing.

Another light came. They were shooting stars.

Another came but this one lasted longer than the other and shone long enough to show a small boy's silhouette across the lake.

He was looking up at the stars in awe. It was Howl. Young Howl. You realised what was about to happen and ran for him.

"No no Please Howl don't!" You whispered to yourself.

The closer you got he harder it was to move like the ground was trying to swallow you.

A beautiful star cascaded across the lake and into Young Howl's hands.

"No! Calcifer!" You screamed but it was too late the boy had eaten the small flame.

You stood breathing heavily from running. The ground was now swallowing your legs.

"NO! Howl!" You yelled for him and the boy turned his head towards you.

"Find Sophie! Fine Sophie in the future!" You yelled out before everything turned back to black.

You were in the strange darkness again. The illuminated door stood in front of you. You walked towards it feeling tears sting your eyes. You had the chance to save him and you still couldn't do that.

You fell to your knee's after finally making it through the door.

You stayed there feeling empty. Blood dripped form your stomach onto the ground like beads off of a wealthy woman's necklace.

You lifted your head to see a large black and feathery mass. You ran to him

"Howl!" You cried out.

He turned towards you with an emotionless face.

You wrapped your arms around him and sighed in relief.

"Howl...We have to get back to the others. They need us. They need you. Please." You said cupping his face in your hands.

You placed a small kiss on his lips.

He held you close with one of his arms but still did not show any emotion.

He flew you two up the cliff. You could see Sophie and Markle waving frantically. Turnip head bounced up and down.

You and Howl landed on the plank of wood which held your friends.
