A bunch of former students from a class somehow appear in China in the year 1 AD. No one knows how they got there, but they all assume this is all some sort of sick game, yet they still go along with it and play for their lives.

The sky, filled with dark clouds as though it would rain soon, the grass felt burned and the wind was blowing something fierce, it was enough to wake the teens up.
"Where am I?" Enzo asked confused with his surroundings. He sees his two good friends Jacob and Gabe who were passed out, along with 16 other teens. He lets them sleep, but he checks his surroundings, to get a feel as to where he and the others are. All he managed to find was a broken down home, the door was wide open and seemed scratched, Enzo felt like walking inside this abandoned home, however he still had to keep watch over his friends. He looked back at them, yet he began walking closer to the house, feeling a menacing aura around the place and each step he took, the air felt heavy and as he got really close, one of the teens woke up.
"Yo Enzo, what the hell you doing?" Jacob asked Enzo, as he felt startled to hear him awake.
"Jeez, don't surprise a guy like that" Enzo said, holding his chest, "I was curious to see what was inside this house, also lets be quiet, not just cause our classmates are asleep, but I have a feeling someone or something is inside this house."
As he says that, his class wakes up confused and all walk around, exploring their surroundings. Jacob and Gabe walk up to the house with Enzo.
"So you think something is inside the house, why don't we go in and check" Gabe says with confidence, but while Jacob agrees, Enzo refuses and walks inside the house and closes the door behind him.
"Sorry bros, but I'm not gonna risk letting whatever is in here kill you guys, now lets see what's inside" he says as he looks around. Just then the floor board began to creek and he heard the sound of something dripping in the other room; curious by the sound, he checked the room and had seen a creature made of shadows in the center room, with blood on the walls and dismembered bodies of those who once lived in this home, and Enzo was frightened and stricken with shock, unable to move, or even make a sound. The shadow stared at him for a while as he wrote in blood, 'check the side of the house, human, answers are back there' and it ran away.
Enzo exited the house and checked the side of the house. "Guys," He called out to his classmates, "come check this out, you aren't gonna believe this." They walked up to him and saw more blood writing on the walls, Chantal reads the writing out loud saying, "Welcome to China, Year 1 BC, you were all brought here to play a little game where you conquer all of China. A War for the Ages, that is what the master calls it" Johnny replies, "So this is a game, how do we play? The writing just stops for no reason." Just then, a loud crash of thunder strikes behind them all, and a different shadow creature appears, but this time, it looked more human compared to the one Enzo saw.

"Glad you asked," it spoke, with a voice that could scare even the bravest of men, yet it sounded calm, as to not frighten the teens more than they already are, "you see the master has wondered what it would be like for teenagers of the 21st century to survive in the first month of the first year of the Anno Domini era, but we thought it would be wise to send you 3 months before we can begin. This "game" can last for as long as you all may live, so let me tell you this, only once, so before I tell you, do you have any questions about this game?" Everyone was still frightened by the creature, but to ease the tension, Mikey tries to crack a joke, unfortunately it angers the shadow creature and threatens to kill them in the worst way possible. It resumes, "in order to play this 'game' everyone must conquer a part of China, if he or she controls all the land, then they are the Emperor or Empress of China, and you can all return home, to the future. Even if someone dies, you'll be brought back to life, simple as that, and you will not be alone, you'll have the entire Wei, Wu, Jin, and Shu Dynasty among some of the most legendary warriors of China before 300 AD to aide you in your conquest. But before you conquer all of China, you need your own kingdom, you can choose to work together with up to 3 people, or do it alone. You will figure the rest out, so who is ready?"
Enzo steps up and looks at his friends and classmates, and says to them, "Guys, this creature and his 'master' are crazy, we can all agree on this, but to fight each other, I mean some of us want to hurt Mike a little, hehe, maybe not, so why should we do this." He looks at each and everyone of them and pleads to not fight. They wanted to agree, but the creature changed his arm to the form of a long blade, and threatened to kill them. Dan walked past Enzo and said "Sorry Enzo, but we have to do something so we can go home," he gets closer to the creature and shakes his hand. The Creature gives them a smile that looks as if he were some kind of serial killer and it said that they had 3 years to set up and battle, and threatened to kill them all.
Enzo looked at his classmates upset as they all began to part ways with him and go to find their own place to set up as camp, which left Enzo alone, thinking, "I can't believe I get to be in a world where I get to fight with swords and axes rather than use guns, but I never would've expected my dream to be real, and fighting against my friends no less. I'll just remain neutral and do what I have to do." With everyone long gone, Enzo went into a nearby village and will remain there for as long as he needs to be, hoping he doesn't have to fight.
