Shortly after the departure of the group, the sound of a baby crying came from the woods, alarming one of them. "Selena?" Lisbeth asks as she looks around for her daughter, thinking she was with her and she begins to panic and search for her. "Selena, mommy's here sweetheart, don't be afraid." She began to panic, and grew more worried, but she bumped into her friends. "Hey is everything okay Lisbeth?" Marisa asked, worried, "Is Selena actually here? Its been awhile since I've actually seen her but why would this weird guy or whatever it is, bring her here." Lisbeth hears her daughter's cries from the distance and she becomes anxious. "Yeah, but after I find her, we can talk more okay? Okay" she runs to the sound of her daughter's cries. Emelin looks at Marisa and says to her "well as Selena's Godmother, I should go after her and go protect her too," as she ran ahead leaving Marisa behind. Marisa runs past Emelin, almost offended by Emelin's remarks and says to her calmly, "I ran track remember also I'm Selena's Godmother, so I'll see ya after I help save her." As the 3 ran deep into the woods Selena's crying suddenly stopped, and was replaced with laughter. Lisbeth called out to her, Emelin grabbed a couple of sticks, thinking something was right there waiting to attack them, and they finally saw her.
Selena was being held by a shadow creature, and it looked at them with a blank, lifeless, stare and touched Selena's stomach making her giggle. "Let her go, NOW!" Lisbeth says with an intense rage, "she's my baby, now give her back to me this instance." Emelin and Marisa agree. The creature calmly answers her by telling her, "Your daughter seems to like it when I touch her stomach, I do not think she wants to return to you, after all you don't have the right to take care of a someone during war, there is no time. I'll take her and give her to the master, unless you 3 can beat me," it makes a carriage appear and puts Selena down in it, continuing "one fight and you guys can—" before it could finish Lisbeth attacked it no questions. The creature was getting beaten up to the point of giving up and retreating to avoid what else she is capable of, Selena smiled and giggled as her mother picked her up and kissed her to comfort her. "Remind me to never make Lisbeth angry" Marisa said, terrified after seeing Lisbeth's assault, to which Emelin proceeded to nod at her. Lisbeth walked up to them with Selena in her arms and said to them "Well if we're gonna be stuck here, we should work together and start a kingdom together, what do you guys think?" To which Marisa replied, "Okay, but I think maybe I could be ruler, you guys can be like my right and left hand man or something." Emelin thinks about it for a minute and says "that sounds good to me, so we should find a place then right? Then let's not waste anytime waiting." They all are in an agreement and continue forward.
2 Weeks Later
The First Kingdom was formed under the rule of Mikey, he owned the smallest bit of land, and had invited everyone to see his progress. When everyone reached the gates and he welcomed them with open arms. "Hey guys, welcome to my Kingdom, I call it 'Kingdom of Diesel' I thought of it, the locals call it 'Chang'an' or something, I don't know what their saying." As he brings them in, Enzo says to his friends closest to him, "Ok so who in their right mind thought Mike would be fit to rule, or better yet, why is it that he managed to claim territory first." They laugh at first, but Mike introduces them to his subordinates. His kingdom doesn't impress many of them, but he seems proud to have this territory as his own. Enzo immediately writes on a couple sheets of fabric he managed to smuggle and gives each of them the sheets, "here's my address," he says to them calmly, yet firmly, "I don't think phone's work... correction, they don't work, Period. So at least try and keep in touch... I'm going back home, sorry I'd like to stay but I gotta get back and train for a bit. I gotta protect myself at home."
Dan, Jacob, and Gabe follow Enzo, worried. "Enzo you good?" Dan asked sincerely, "you know you could talk to us about anything, right?" Enzo responds, "of course I know that, but I don't trust Mikey's kingdom, nor his commanding officers, they were well known for betraying their leaders and taking control of the kingdom." He leans against the wall, and the other 3 do the same. "So is that what does this have to do with you leaving early? You jealous of Mike or something?" Gabe asks, jokingly, and begins to laugh, along with the others, but Enzo wasn't laughing, nor was he smiling. Jacob hits Enzo's shoulder playfully and told him to smile and laugh. He then calmly says to Enzo, "Look, we can agree Mike is not fit to rule, nor is he responsible enough to take care of a bunch of people, but give him a chance, besides, we still got 2 and a half months before we're supposed to fight anyone, the four of us could take his kingdom if that helps." "That's not why I'm leaving, I'm leaving because I can't stand to see him get hurt and not be able to help him out. I can't fight anyone weaponless, I'm not that strong like most of you, so I could be killed instantly, this place is life and death, and I'm not ready to lose my friends..." says Enzo, as he walks away "but before I go, I know you guys want to make me join your kingdom you guys are forming, but I have to decline, as much as I want to be with you bros, I cannot, we would argue constantly about some random thing, and if my suspicions are correct, then those creatures will be the reason we would fight each other, so I can't risk it." As he reaches the gate, Mike's subordinate, Chen Gong appears, as if he knew where to find the 4 of them.
