Chapter 19

"Shigure?" Thoru asked with a shaky voice, she had heard something, that Kyo told her, it was obvious. Kyo had told her what they had all felt through the curse.
"Thoru." He managed to choke out, before another sob forced itself out of him
"You felt it too ... didn't you?" Kyo asked, tears streaming down his cheeks. It wasn't that they were all so terribly sad, right now they were still in shok not realizing, what had happened, but the curse made it so painful, they couldn't help but cry.

Shigure nodded, Thoru looked around between them in something simular to confusion. She had heard Shigures and Hatoris talk a week ago, but if the zodiac curse was causing them both to break down in tears like that, something terrible must have happened.

"Don't tell me.... he's reall ..." Kyo said crying. The teenager sat down next to Shigure.
"I don't know. If we both ... feel it, then Hatori and .... Ayame and the others should too ... I'm sure he'll call us soon ... Until then, we have to hope" Shigure said, half choking on his words. He knew the truth, yet it still burned in his chest.

Just then, the phone rang, Shigrue practically jumped up and picked it up.
"Hatori?" He asked
... ("Shigure ...") (<--means, that Thoru and Kyo can't hear him)
"What's going on, why ... why does it feel like this? Do you feel it ... does anyone else ? What happened?"
... ("I feel it too, is it only you or Kyo too? ... I don't know about anyone else, but I saw the lights turn on in Harus home")
"BOth of us. But why?"
... ("I think I accidently triggered something, whith putting a dead rat in the room, which had died on my hands hours earlier, it looks so much like Yuki and I had to cry and suddenly I couldn't stop...'' he whisperedd that sentence, Shigure suspected, he was most likely being watched)
"Same here, I had to cry and couldn't stop and then suddenly I couldn't stop thinking of him"
...("I've confirmed the rat as dead, maybe that did something too. Now, to make this official. Shigure ... *Sob* Yuki, he - he's ... dead.")
"No ... no, that can't be, I thought Akito was gone for the week because of the military, he couldn't have .... while she- he was gone. And and you were there, no Haa-san, tell me!"
...("We're about to burn the body, I thought you might want to come over with the kids, the ceremony will forcifly be held without Akito, but all other zodiacs will be there, even Ritsu is on his way here." He said, before he whispered "You can bring Kyo and Thoru if you want, all the zodiacs will be there. The rat looks very simular to Yuki and with how sick he's been lately and what we're all feeling right now, no one will doubt anything.")
..."Sure" Shigure said with an emotionless expression. "We'll come right over."

He let the phone fall out of his hands, and sunk to the ground down to his knees, Kyo began to sob loudly again. Like siad, it didn't truly hurt som badly yet, but the curse made it feel 10 times worse. Thoru didn't know what to do.

Shigure recollected himself, he had a job to do, he had to sell it of believably, so he had to get them there.
"Change into some other clothes, dark ones at best, we're leaving in ten minutes." He said with an empty voice.

They all forced themselves up, Thoru had begun to cry as well. It felt unreal, it wasn't fair, why did people she cared about die so much? Why did the Somas have to suffer so much? Why did Yuki have to die?
Shigure attempted to get in the car, before Kyo said,
"You're not driving, we're ordering a tax, you're in no conditio to drive, you'll crash and ..." He couldnÄt finish the sentence, as his body wa shaken with another sob. By now, the sobs were forced out of the both of them, neither of them wanted to, but they couldn't prevent them.

"I am, we don't have time for a tax in the middle of the night." HE said and got in the car. Surprisingly, Shigure drove very good, despite his speed and the unstoppable sobs.

Before Hatori had called Shigure, the other zodiacs had all come together, without an arranged meeting, they had all arrived one after another, crying, sobbing, desperate, hopeless, sad, even Rin was crying. Haru had been the first one to arrive. He had stormed into the house and down the corridor and then collapsed to his kneew in the doorframe, when he saw Hatori crying over the body of a rat. It had been long, since anyone except Thoru and Kyo and Shigure, HAtori and Ayame but they knew the truth soo..., had seen Yuki in rat form, so even if it looked slightly different, it could be blamed on his illness, he had had the two weeks before his death.
