Chapter 4

I woke up beside Andy remembering everything that happened. Why would my mom cry over my dad dying? Maybe she was just drunk as always. I remember when I was younger my family was perfect everyone was happy, even me. When I was around 10 years old my mom started getting aggressive very easily and she would always get into fights with my dad. It's like she wasn't herself anymore she was always the most caring person you could ever meet. I'm somewhat glad my dad left her because he actually got to live his life instead of wasting it battling with her. Even though the divorce tore my family apart, I'm not mad at my dad for doing it. I just wish he could come back....I miss him. I didn't even realize I'm crying. Wow okay.

"Ember? Are you okay?

"Oh hey andy uh yeah I'm fine, just thinking about my dad that's all."

"I'm so so sorry you lost him"

"Yeah......"

Andy sat up in the bed and he just hugged me for awhile until Jake came in saying breakfast was ready.

"Well shall we go?"

"Sure but I'm gonna be slow everything hurts."

Andy picked me up bridal style and carried me to the kitchen. It's kinda weird because I've just met him and it feels like I've known him my whole life. He just makes me feel happy.

"So...Ember how are you feeling?"

"Jake honestly, I feel pretty good thanks to you, if you wouldn't have been here for me I probably would be feeling terrible but honestly my dad wasn't part of my life for that long so it doesn't even feel weird. It's sad to say it but it doesn't hurt that much."

"Yeah I understand that but still if you ever need to talk about it just ask i will always be here for you."

"Thanks"

Jake put the waffles on the table and I ate very little. I wasn't feeling the best today. I have this major headache and my face hurts and so does everywhere else. I can't take it anymore.

"Do you have any Advil or something?"

"Yeah I can go get it be right back"

Jake came back with a few pills in his hand and gave them to me.

"I trust you are not giving me drugs" I smirked

Andy and Jake both laughed and I took the pills,then I put my plate in the sink then sat down on the couch. I was so bored.

"Can we do something today?"

"Like what?"

"I don't know maybe go to the mall"

"Sure"

Andy and Jake finished eating then we got ready to leave but before we left Andy came up to me and he asked

"Ember......."
