Chapter 8

It's been a few days since the three children got lost in the flower field and found the Garnet Palace. From that day, Athanasia had been secretly run to hide her bags of riches. Sometimes, Luke and Lucy would join her too. Y/n had her suspicions but chose to ignore it as she thought they were playing around. 

Today, Athanasia, Luke, and Lucy were going to hide Athanasia's bags of riches. What they didn't know was that they will meet the time ticking bomb that very day.

Right now, the three children are standing in front of the Garnet Palace. It was completely silent. Not a single sound was heard except for the whispering children.

"Not a single soul to be seen, as usual," Athanasia whispered.

"Yeah," Luke whispered back.

"Let's head to a different route today," Lucy told the two, pointing to a different direction.

"Sure," Luke and Athanasia replied.

As the three were walking, Athanasia caught something sparkly. That something is statues. Not just a regular statue; it was statues made out of gold. Of course, Athanasia, who is obsessed with these types of things pulled the twins with her.

The statues were sparkling, and Athanasia was drooling at the sight. The twins only stared at their 'sister' in deadpanned and facepalmed.

It's real gold! That's amazing! Everything in my palace is made of marble! Athanasia thought.

"If there's this many then no one will notice if I take one, right?" Athanasia blurted.

The twins immediately snapped their necks and stared at Athanasia like she was dumb.

"Don't do it," the twins said in sync.

And of course, dear Athanasia didn't listen to her younger twins 'siblings'. She went toward one of the gold statues and bit the bottom of it. The twins sigh at her antic. They were done with Athanasia's antic.

While Athanasia was biting the statue's butt and the twins were watching her, they didn't notice a blonde and red-haired man walking towards them. As the blonde-haired man shadowed them, he talked and surprised the three.

"What...are these filthy bugs doing in my palace?" the blonde man said.

When he said that, the three flinched in fear, and quickly turned around. When the twins turned around and noticed it was their father and uncle, they sighed in relief. 

"Luke and Lucy?? What are the both of you doing here?" Felix asked, surprised to see his children.

"Dad/Papa!" the twins called out to their father.

Both of them ran to their father and hugged his knees.

"We are playing with Athy!" the twins said in sync once more.

As the twins were telling their father, one of Athanasia's bags of riches dropped on the floor. The jewels rolled on the ground as the adults stared at them. 

"That face," Claude stated darkly. "I've seen it before."

That same jeweled eyes as me. I've never seen him in the flesh before, but he must be...Claude de Alger Obelia. Why? Athanasia thought, still shocked.

"Yes, was it that dancer from Siodonna?" Claude said. "You look like that wench."

What's this guy doing here?! I'm only 5 years old, not 9! And this isn't the emperor's garden either! Athanasia thought her mind was in turmoil.

"Then again, it doesn't matter who she came from," Claude said as he reached his hand to Athanasia's chin.

"Your majesty," Felix said.
