Searching for clues

I sighed as I sat finishing my chemistry project. Finally finished. It was due a few days ago, but I had been to busy to finish it. I didn't have a partner, they never gave me one, so I had to do it all alone, which wasn't fun, but I've done a lot so far.
I closed my book and looked at the pinboard on my wall. It was covered in pamphlets for college, photos, a necklace, random reminders.

I looked at a few of my photos, where I stood alone, smiling at something that wasn't there. Maybe it was someone behold the camera?
One of them I had my head rested on mid air, which I thought was weird
Me and Scott in a sand pit, with a gap between us as the two of us sat covered in sand laughing our heads off
Then another was me smiling at the camera, my arm resting on something again that wasn't there, with Nyx perched on something else that wasn't there.
Two people?

"Nyx come here" I held my arm out for my bird
I watched him fly, he couldn't possibly have taken a photo like that, how could he stand in mid air?

"Sti?" The bird cawed at me
"What? What do you want?" I asked confused why what he said ticketed my head
"Sti?" The bird cawed again
"I dont know what Sti is Nyx" I told the bird
But he pecked my finger making my Yelp and pull my arm back making the bird hover over to my desk in front of me
I sucked my bleeding finger when I spotted the ring sat there

"Where did you come from?" I asked my hand

The ring had little stars engraved into it, and it sat on my left ring finger. I must've put it on the wrong hand by accident
I slid it off my finger to inspect it. I don't remember buying it, and I definitely don't remember being given it, or finding it. So where did it come from
I flipped it around and I saw a small ingraving on the inside

Confused I went to go ask my twin
But when I went into the hall I stopped at the door beside mine.
This was Issacs room when he stayed with us for a while. I've not been in the room in a while. So I walked in.

I looked around the room. A single bed pushed up to one wall, a bedside table and an empty shelf. All that sat on one half of the room.
But the other half was completely and entirely bare. Not a single thing.
"Why is everything on one side?" I asked myself and the bird on my shoulder
I shook my head and went to find Scott, but lucky me. I was now a wolf, with a bird on my back
I huffed and shook my head now going to my brother as a wolf

"Do you see him?" I heard a voice
I woke up hearing a train around my room and the house was shaking
I looked around seeing bright yellow lights
"Skylar?" Scott ran into my room
"Did you hear that?" I asked
"There was a train" I said panting
"Sky there was no train" he said
"But-" I tried
"I heard you screaming? You okay?" He asked
"I just thought I heard a train" I told him
"Well there's nothing, and no earthquakes. You probably had a bad dream" he said and left
"I wasn't asleep" I said softly under my breath when he left

I walked into school with Lydia, the two of us smiling at people, our arms linked
I saw a locker and I let go of her hand and walked to it, waiting for something while Lydia walked off to find someone she said
The bell rang and people walked around me
I lay my back on the metal and thought about what I was doing here
'Who am I waiting for?' I thought my arms folded
I saw my claws coming out, again. So I curled my fingers into fists and willed my hands back to normal

I was in class and I sat down beside Malia and she put down her yellow highlighter and put the word 'style' in red and everything else in yellow

The bell went, and I instinctively looked to the seat to my left, but it was empty. The same with the seat on Lydias right
"I'm impressed with most of you. It really speaks to your study habits and your commitment to your own education. Everyone else, see me for extra help." our teacher stood with sheets
"Ms.Fleming, um..." Lydia tried to hide the angry Malia claws
"I already told you Lydia, I don't give extra credit for alternate equations based on your own theoretical findings" the teacher told her
"Well, okay then" Lydia said
"Malia. Claws. Claws, Malia." I sat forward in my seat
I relaxed as the girls hand showed human fingers not claws
