ONE SHOT - ASHAANGI

From childhood to entirety

Aarohi was getting ready for her friend's birthday party . Aarohi is a medico studying final year MBBS in a reputed instituition . She is gearing up for her best pal's birthday bash . Ok to be precise school senior's birthday party who was her bus mate, tuition mate and most importantly flatmate . She wants to look the best for her own reasons. She has been busy with her studies and stuff while him on the other hand started handling his father's company proudly after completing his CA course . He is still in the same apartment but unfortunately she resides in hostel . The apartment is kinda posh and yes they both hail from well to do family yet they both have their own ethics and standards to stand on their own . She is getting restless while selecting her dress on what to wear for his party . Her friend/roomate enters and sees her being perplexed . She popped in and gave her suggestion for her outfit . Suddenly her friend gets excited and asked " Is this the guy who proposed you a month back ?"
Aarohi nodded and her mind just had a recap of that day .

RECAP :

Nikesh called her to meet in a private Italian restaurant . Aarohi over phone answered him as , " Why not nikki ?? After all we are gonna meet after 2 long months in person . Im coming for sure . I wish we could spend some time like earlier but Im unfortunately stuck with my internals " . Nikesh was happy and happy and excited . Aarohi came to the restaurant and saw him already sitting in a table . They continued their usual banters and spoke about their lives , recently watched movies , their professional friends circle . They both shared nook and corner of their thoughts . They usually share everything without the fear of being judged by the other . Both spoke a lot and lot and finally it was time for sweet confection to be served as the last course of meal . Nikki ordered her favourites ( Tender coconut mousse and opera cake ) . When she was about to have a bite of her favourite opera cake , he confessed and she was taken aback.

NIKESH - I had this in the back of my mind for a very long time and really wanted to share . I had attraction towards you when you were a teen itself . Now you are full grown up women and now I can say I found the best companion I could ever get in my life . You were my bestfriend since childhood and till now I have shared everything with you like literally everything . We had gone out for shopping mall , bunked classes for FDFS (first day first show in theatres ) , beach , most importantly explored all cuisine and restaurants and last but not the least we knew each other's reaction to every action that happens in our lives .You have become an integral part of my life . Im pretty sure you were aware of the fact that u were more than my friend . And to my little knowledge I guess you like me as a friend for sure and u have shown ur possessive side when u hear some lame proposals which I had received during college days ( Friends can be possessive too I know but still deep down I wish u were mine for entirety ) . You are pretty enough to make a guy fall for you and u are aware of this fact from the huge number of proposals you got from your college medicos . I know you are a sensitive , emotional person when triggered I have seen you cry immediately . As I say "If someone cries doesnt mean they are weak , they are strong enough to let out their emotions rather to fool themselves . You cry your heart out and make decisions on your own . I like that you are an opinionated girl , stands for urself , bold enough , highly intellectual ( can understand that you hav cleared your exams till now without any backlogs ) , takes care of me , supports me blindly but tells my errors on my face when Im wrong . I can keep on adding everything especially your singing skills . It makes me euphoric whenever I hear and not to forget the medals you received in intra and intercollege competitions which made me so proud that MY GIRL IS THE BEST ❤.

Aarohi came out of her trance and thanks to her friend . Her friend suggested her to wear a simple and elegant red maxi which Aarohi accepted . Aarohi is not the one who likes to wear layers and layers of makeup . She likes to define her natural feàtures . Her friend helped her with eyeliner , kohl , eyebrows , highlighter and contour and nude lipstick . Aarohi stood infront of her hostel mirror and exhaled . She made a mental note to herself that she should be calm and composed during the entire party as both their families would be present .
