Chapter 10:

I didn't know what was a better choice now. Was it better to be stuck in a flat with Harry with the power out or was it better to be stuck in my car? The only thing I was afraid of right now was that the heating would turn off and the two of us would be turned into ice cubes.

"You seriously had to jinx that." I asked Harry.

The whole entire flat was pitch dark except for the window, which was barley visible. Outside the sky was dark and occasionally, there would be a flash of lightning.

When Harry didn't answer, I suddenly became scared. "Harry?" I whispered. "Harry?" I said a bit louder. I swore if he fainted on me, I'd kill him. Not literally, but close.

I heard a drawer close. Holy shit, I was going to die. "Harry?" I almost screamed. "Where are you?" I started to shake, not out of cold, but out of pure fear.

Then a beam of light shone into my face, causing me to squint. "Sorry, I went to get a flashlight. Are you alright?" Harry asked.

"No," I snapped, "I almost had a heart attack when I realized you weren't answering me!"

"I'm sorry." Harry said. He started to wave the flashlight's beam into my face and I resisted from grabbing it out of his hand and throwing it onto his face.

"God dammit, stop." I demanded. The beam stopped waving around and instead, he placed it between the both of us so we could see each other in the dim light.

There was a crack of thunder. I shrieked and knocked the flashlight over and caused it to tumble onto the ground. "I got it." I said and crouched down onto the ground to reach for the flashlight. It was still on so I could clearly see it. "OW!" I cried out when my head hit the coffee table. I was always a bit clumsy. I finally reached for the flashlight and tossed it behind me.

"Holy shit!" Harry yelled. "It almost hit my face!"

Good.

I sat back down on the couch and started to shiver. There was no heating apparently, and let's just say it's very very cold.

"Are you cold?" Harry questioned.

"No," I said sarcastically, "I'm just shivering my butt off because it's cool."

"Okay okay I got it." Harry said. Something warm and fuzzy hit my face. A blanket.

"Thanks." I muttered and wrapped myself tightly into it. Harry tugged on it. "What? No! Harreh, I'm cold."

"So am I and someone took all the blankets when she left the place leaving me with only one." Harry said.

"And you never thought to buy another blanket?" I asked.

"I didn't think there would become a situation like this before!" Harry defended himself. "I guess the scenario that my ex fiance would come back to my flat and ask for shelter then the power goes out didn't occur to me!"

"In the dead of winter." I groaned.

"In the dead of winter." Harry agreed. "So are you going to let the person who gave you shelter some of the blanket or not?"

I groaned in defeat and scooched closer to Harry until I felt his warm body touch mine.

It was always that same feeling when we touched. The sparks of energy. The feeling of happiness. The ectasy. The good thing was that I couldn't see his eyes. Something about them would always draw me back to him. I couldn't look into them without acting like one of those starstruck girls you see in movies that swoon over the hot guy.
