October 31st, what's so special about it? It's just like every other day.

Being a teen now means that we're in between the awkward phase of knocking on your neighbour's door for candy and being the neighbour that gives candy.

I looked at my phone and noticed the time,
3 am.

"3 am? It's just a time right. There's no way that ghosts will come out at this t-" I said to myself before I screamed from the unexpected knock at my apartment door.

Ding Dong

I tiptoed into the living room, advancing towards the door. Then, I peeped through the peephole on the door.

Dark. It's all dark.

Wait, Riki?

I opened the door and saw Riki standing there, eying me up and down.

"Am I hearing things or did I hear you scream earlier?" Riki eyes me suspiciously.

Oh shit. He must've heard me.

I took out my phone from my pocket and opened the notes app again.

"Nah. You're probably hearing things. Maybe you heard a ghost. It's 3 am" I typed out as I teased him, pretending to be a ghost.

He laughed and hit my arm playfully. "Idiot. Can I come in?"

"Yeah sure. Just don't be too loud cuz Daniel is sleeping." I typed out.

"If he's sleeping then why is the floor of his room flashing different colors of light?" He said.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Good question."

Then it went silent so I typed, "Why are you here anyway? Look at the time."

"I was bored" he replied.

"And you're not sleepy?" I typed.

"Nope." He said as his stomach growled.

I nodded and walked towards my apartment's well-designed open kitchen. Sorry, I had to mention it was well-designed because why wouldn't I flex about it.

Riki follows behind me, "You hungry?" I typed and shoved my phone into his face.

He nodded.

"How about some jjapaghetti?" I typed.

"Jjapaghetti?? What's that?"

"It's like jjajangmyeon but instant noodle version? I think that's the best way to describe it."

"Okay!" He said.

And so, it began. My cooking... disaster.

I cooked up my noodles as usual and drained out the water.

Then, I separated the noodles into two bowls.

I then put the powdered sauce mix in like usual.

And finally, I fried two eggs Sunnyside up and 4 slices of spam.

Nothing out of the ordinary right?

Until you saw the stove. There were noodle bits everywhere from when I dunked the noodles into the pot. I wasn't careful so it splashed everywhere.

Anyway, Riki helped clean up and then we sat and ate the food.

Here's the catch though, by the time we sat to eat, the food had already started to go cold.
