Chapter Two

~Dawn's P.O.V

I woke to Derek's alarm going off, "Turn it off," i groaned.

"Yeah." i hear Dustin say.

"Im trying. " Derek groaned.

We complained until finally it stopped. It was nice and quiet again.

"Wake up! Your going to be late to school! " Dereks mom yelled.

Spoke to soon. I got to my feet and went to change in the bathroom. I finished getting dressed. I also brushed my hair and teeth and other bathroom suff i needed to do. Before i left the bathroom. The boys rushed to the bathroom to finish getting dressed.

I left my hair down to help hide some old bruises. I was wearing a cute long sleeve shirt and faded skinny blue jeans. I but on my wore black converse.

I finished when Derek's mom walked in. "Morning hun." i smiled "morning Wendy." i grabbed my backpack when the boys were finally finished getting ready. "School here we come." Dustin said sarcastically. We all started laughing. I only smile and laugh when im away from my dad and school and with my best friend.

I pulled out my phone feeling the soreness of my ribs. I plugged up my head phones and put the one of the ear buds in my ear. I looked through my songs before i found one and played it. It was Because of You by Kelly Clarkson.

I sang along to the song since I can't danced for I'm broke. I was ahead of Dustin who we were dropping of at middle school. They were smiling at me. Cause i can sing very well and I'm limping.

We arrived at the school. I hugged Dustin "Behave Dusty." i winked at him in a playful way cause i know he doesn't like the nick name that much. He rolled his eyes at me. "I will." then he turned an headed to school.
