About two weeks have passed since Iida started tutoring Kaminari, and so far, things have been going extremely well for the two. Kaminari's grades have been steadily improving, and the two even formed a bond as friends.
'Friends, we're friends. Nothing more, he's just a tutor. He can't see me as anything more. He doesn't see me how I see him. He wouldn't like someone like me, of course he wouldn't, why would anyone?'
That fuzzy feeling in Kaminari's stomach never left. He was sick, but with something much worse than any virus. He was sick in love. Love? LOVE! Oh fuck! oh fuck, it's love!Kaminari tried to steady his breathing as he hugged his Pikachu plushie. Love, that word rang in his mind, bouncing around in every corner of his head that most would describe as empty. It wasn't empty, he just had too many thoughts. So many thoughts that it was overwhelming.
He was snapped out of said thoughts when he heard a particular ding come from his phone. 'A notification? This early?' He picked up his phone to check who it was from, Iida. 'oh. Of course he'd be up this early.'
"Good morning, Kaminari. Would you be interested in spending some time together at the mall today?"
Kaminari stared at the text, considering if he was going to agree or not. He was going to see his friends today, but he also didn't wanna deny seeing Iida, but he also didn't wanna suddenly cancel plans on his friends.
'I can't just do that,' he thought. 'That'd make me a bad friend. But Iida's so amazing and I want to get closer to him outside of tutoring! Maybe there's some way I can make this work?' he thought, he thought, he thought and kept on thinking. Why do thoughts have to be so overwhelming sometimes? Was he destined to overthink for the rest of his life?
It was ironic, almost. A boy most said had not but a single brain cell happened to be an overthinker. Most would laugh at the idea, that was the painful reality, nobody knew how smart that blonde boy could really be. Was that why it was a shock? Such a shock his grades were improving?
Wait, no, he's getting carried away again. What was he doing again? Right, Iida. Finally, he had an idea, they'd just all meet up together! Easy solution! Nothing could possibly go wrong, right?
Kaminari took a deep breath, finally moving his fingers to respond to Iida, also asking his other friends if Iida could hang out with them. Luckily, no one fully objected to anything.
--------------------------------------------------------
"What the fuck is taking him so long?" A certain blonde complained.
"He'll be here soon! Look, he just said he's 15 minutes away." A certain redhead reassured.
"That's 15 minutes too many!""I'm here! I'm here!" Said another blonde, riding in on the back of a blue haired boy. Kaminari hopped off of Iida as they both greeted the bakusquad. "Took you long enough." Katsuki stated as the other blonde arrived.
"Hey! I came in on the fastest ride I had!"
"TRAINS ARE A THING, DUNCE FACE!"
"Woah, woah! Hold on, take a deep breath, everything's fine." Kirishima put a hand on Bakugou's shoulder in an attempt to calm down the explosive boy. There did not need to be a crime scene in the middle of the mall today.Bakugou let out a huff and ended up not committing murder. Kirishima looked relieved, glad that nothing happened beyond that point.
"I don't think I can ever get used to Bakugou. Kaminari, how do you do it?" Remarked Iida. "Well, Bakugou just shows his emotions differently, sometimes he doesn't even show them at all. It really all comes down to understanding what he really means. Like just now, he was most likely just worried." The taller boy smiled and the blond's response, he really had a good understanding of people. That's something Iida admired about him, he admired how he could seemingly make friends with anyone.
