Answer me... Dad

Anthony's POV

It was Adrian's turn for his audition. I didn't prepare him at all so I was a bit afraid he might be scared of the judges. He went inside the audition room and I was left outside with a Live Tv infront of me to see how he performed.

"Hi ..um Adrian Mateo Tenorio?"

"Yes Its me!"

"So what do you have for us today?"

He was looking around and stood there quietly and I thought there it is I'm going to dissapoint Janella again by bringing home Mateo with tears.

but he then point his finger out towards one of the judges and said

"Where have you been?"

The male judge stared at him as if he was in shocked then looked at the other judges who were also surprised.

"Do you know that I get jelous seeing other kids with their dad?"

"Mummy said you're at work all the time but why haven't you send me some messages or gift ? "

He wasn't really acting. He was actually expressing how he actually felt knowing he has no dad

"do you not love me? Mummy always say that she'll do anything for me because she loves me.... how about you dad do you love me?"

The judges were all in awe because not only he is very fluent in speaking for a 3 year old kid but they thought he was acting very well.

"answer me..... dad!"

he then looked at the judges and said "thats all i got for now"

I'm so proud of Adrian but also sad to know that he has been feeling that way a while now. He did had a point there. Why hasn't he called or contact us to know his child? After the audition, I brought him out to have some ice cream.

Steve's Pov

"My dear son!" Dad mockingly said that as I walk in the entrance of his mansion

"Dad" I said while smirk smiling

We went in the living room and he served me wine as if nothing has happened between us. I sat down and waited for him to speak

"So?" he paused and look at me like he was expecting me to say something

"So what?" I said

"What brings you here? you dont come here for nothing"

"what? I did not willingly came here. Shaila said you called me here for an important talk" I said

"Me? HAH"

"what makes you think i'd call you here after the scene you create ? and here I thought you came here to ask for an appology"

There it is! My dad! the most egoistic person I have ever known.

"Never in my life dad! Not after what you did to my-"

"ENOUGHHH!!!!"

Mom walked in on us arguing.

"I called him here" Mom said

"Now sit both of you. I made some food to eat and we can talk it out at the dining area"

I stood up and immediatly went to the kitchen to help mom. Mom hated hiring maids around the house but also she can't be cleaning the whole mansion by herself so the least she could do is to cook and let no maids to help her. She'd cook for the family and serve us all too.

"So hows things with you and your place?" mom asked

"its great. I hired a maid every once a week to clean my penthouse"

"thank god! knowning how messy you are"

After eating dinner, mom start talking about how Shaila is about to get enggaged very soon. Dad and Mom were talking as if I was not there. My opinion was always not as important to them. After all, I'm the last person they would talk or run to when there is a problem. Living with 2 older sisters and a younger, i was the last person they cared about.

"So, I called you here because I have something to tell you"

"I ran into Janella earlier. Is there something you're not telling us?" mom said

Janella? When mom mentioned her all the memories flashes back. She was the only women I have been serious with. I have always thought about her. I always thought we would bump each other someday.

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Well, I went to your brother's college to send him some stuff for his dorm. Janella was at the receptionist and it seems like she's taking a part time degree course there. She's always a glow getter and I liked her so much"

"Obviously! you'd like someones who was like you. born poor and selfish" dad spoke up

"you have no rights to talk to her like that dad! you were the reason why we broke up!"

"I was doing whats best for you son, you're clearly not thinking when you're around her"

"If Moving out was the best thing for me then yes i agree! I could not stay with you anymore. Not even a bit!"

"FIRST OF ALL!! Edwardo you listen here carefully! You will not speak like that to me ever again get it? well unless you want to be wifeless ha? So what if she's poor? You married one too.  A very smart one and If I want I could leave you anytime and make a fortune without your help. Never! talk to me like that again! Understood?

Mom was right. She was a topper in her University. Finished her Master of science in Business Management and worked her way up to be a CEO of Zecorra Ressort. Dad was a childhood friend of mom. Mom and Dad met again when Mom host an event in one of her Ressort. After marrying dad, most of the time she ran dad's businesses as she is well experienced too while dad just inherit grandad's fortune and continued his businesses.

Dad glared at me like I was the only one who's at fault.

"and you! I get that your dad ruined your love life and on behalf of him I'm sorry! I mean I dont get to say and rule you anymore diba? You moved out! You have you're own life! but I do agree with dad. You did ruined your life when you live together with Janella without asking any approval from us! you were 18 for god sake Steven!"

I didn't want to argue. There is no use. Janella and I broke up already. I kept quite and look down to avoid this topic again.

"And the reason why I called you here is to ask if the child she is with yours or not?"

"What child?" I asked

"When I saw her, She was holding a kid's hand and the kid is probably around 3-4 years old. pretty tall too like you."

A kid? If the kid is about 3 then it should probably be mine right? Or it could be her sisters. This fucked my mind right now. What if its mine? Why havent she reached out to me?
