Summer Love

Chapter 1 :

Leah’s POV –

It was finally here, Summer in the City. I’ve been waiting months for this meet up.

It was fairly hot today; I wore studded high waist shorts, a lace bustier tank top and grey TOMS. I grabbed my bag, aviators and duffle bag and ran out the door.

I took the tube to meet up with the crew. After 10 minutes, I finally arrived to the station. I ran and jumped onto of Marcus, making him almost falling over.

“Hey!”

“HEEEELLLOO!” he said, giving me a hug.

I gave Alfie, Sam, Louis, Jack, Finn, Caspar, Maz , Joe, Zoe and Louise a hug and we made our way to the event.

We checked into our hotel and unpacked a bit. Louise, Zoe and I shared a room, Marcus, Alfie, Joe shared a room, the twins and Caspar bunked together and Sam, Louis and Maz had a room together.

As soon as we freshened up, we left to the meet and greet.

The scorching sun burned my skin; we made a quick stop to Starbucks and got some refreshing drinks and proceeded to the event.

There were soooo many people there! I pulled out my camera and made a quick vlog.

“Hi! So I’m with Marcus, Alfie, Louis, Sam, Joe, Maz, Zoe, Louise, Jack, Finn and Caspar and we’re at Summer and the City!” a bunch of ‘yeahs’ and ‘yays’ echoing behind me.

“Look how many people are here!” showing the crowd of people, then flipping it back to face me, “I’m looking forward to meeting some other Youtubers, real excited!”

I switched off my camera as people started coming up to us, many asked to take a picture with all of us and some individually. After signing, taking pictures and having a chat with the viewers we headed to the other side of the park.

I stepped away from the group to go to the refreshments booth, but was shortly stopped by some fans. I quickly took pictures with them and had a conversation with them before they left. As I turned around, I bumped into someone quite tall. I looked up and saw a beautiful boy towering over me. I gulped, starting to feel really awkward.

“Sorry! I didn’t see you there!” I apologized, giving him a sweet smile.

“Oh, it’s not a problem.” He smiled, “You’re a Youtuber too?” he said, looking at my lanyard.

“Yeah! I’m Leah.”

“I’m Dan. The Internet cult leader.” He smiled, showing his pearly whites.

“Well, nice to meet you Dan the Internet cult leader.” I laughed.

Suddenly my phone rang; I stared at my screen, Zoe calling. I picked up, she said fans were looking for me and they said I stepped away for a bit and will be right back.

“Hey sorry, I’ve got to go.” I frowned, as I hung up the phone.

“Well that’s too bad. It was nice meeting you though.” He leaned in, giving me a hug, “So, I’ll see you around?”

“For sure.” I smiled widely.

I walked half way back to the others, but suddenly felt someone grabbing onto my arm. I turned around seeing Dan, huffing and puffing.

“Wow. I reeeeally need to start going to the gym.” He chuckle.

“Hey, what’s up?” I laughed.

“So … I forgot to ask you something ...” He said slowly.

“Yeah …” urging him to continue.

“Erm … I was wondering if you wanted to maybe grab some coffee after?” he shuffled on the spot, “It doesn’t have to be coffee, it can be tea. Or anything really …”

“Yeah, that’ll be great.” I laughed at his awkwardness.

We exchanged numbers and said goodbye. I ran back to the group and apologized to everyone, I did the same routine and did a quick vlog, filming everyone and the camera was soon passed around filming each Youtuber and fan.

The meet and greet ended and we headed back up to our rooms. I think I got darker by just standing there; I literally reapplied sunscreen 3 times.

I apply sunscreen once again and pulled on my shoes, grabbing my bag and phone, I made my way towards the door.

“Uh, where are you going?” Zoe asked.

“I’m going to meet Dan.”

“Wait. Dan as in danisnotonfire?” she asked

“Yeah …”

“Oh my god! Are you and him going out?!” Zoe yelled.

“You’re going out with who?!” Louise shouted from the bathroom.

“No one. I’m just going out for coffee okay.” I said, I walked out of the hotel room before the girls can say anymore. I don’t see what the big deal is; I’m just going out for a drink.

Dan’s POV –

I just arrived back at my hotel room; I quickly changed out of my shirt as it was kind of gross. Tell me why I wore a black shirt on a hot summer day?!

I had to meet Leah in 10 minutes and I don’t want to be late. I threw on a white tshirt and sprayed a reasonable amount of cologne on.

“Where are you going?” Phil asked

“I’m going out.”

“To where? With who?” he asked.

“Erm … Do you know that Youtuber Leah Anderson?”

“Yeah? What about her?”

“Well, we arranged to meet up and get some coffee.”

“Well, carry on. You don’t want to be late.” He winked.

I smiled. Phil truly is a great friend.

I hurried down the corridor, entered the elevator and waited until it landed at the lobby.

We arranged to meet up at the front lobby. I heard a ding coming from the elevator, Leah stepped out looking damn fit. Erm … I’m not staring. Right? Say something or she’ll think you’re creepy!

“Uhh-”

“Dan is that you?!” a voice yelled from behind.

OH SHIT. That can’t be who I think it is. Please don’t be.

I slowly turned around, my eyes widened. OH MY FUCKIN SHIT. NO.

It was my ex girlfriend, Laura.
