Content Warning: OCD, detailed OCD rituals/thoughts, (possibly slight) dismissal of OCD

Blue had finished his tasks early as usual. While he waited for his partner, Mr Egg, to return to their room, he enjoyed the alone time by reading his books about cars.
He had brought 3, and thought that wouldn't be enough. However, the one had become sort of a comfort item for him, and he reread it over and over again.
And today, he was going to read it again. He flipped through the pages for hours, losing track of the time, thinking of different possibilities.
Mr Egg coming in was what brought him out of it, and he realized how long it had been. Mr Egg should have finished a couple hours ago.
"Where have you been?" He asked him, only to then notice Mr Egg lightly snapping repeatedly.
Blue immediately frowned. "Mr Egg, stop it."
Mr Egg shook his head, then sharply twisted his head to the left and made an anxious sound.
Blue went over and grabbed onto his boyfriends hands. "Hey, hey. You don't have to do this."
Mr Egg let out a sharp breath. "You're-you're right. I finished my important ritual." He sat down on the bed they shared and put his face in his hands.
Blue looked at him quizzically. "Is that why you didn't come home for so long?"
Mr Egg nodded. "I was too busy doing this shit to do tasks."
"You don't have to do that, it's your choice," Blue said.
"No it's not!" Mr Egg denied. "I mean, it is, but- do I want the deaths of thousands of people on my hands?"
"No!" Blue said. "You know that's not true! You know that's not gonna happen!"
Mr Egg blinked harshly. "Whatever. I'm not going to argue about it right now. I just want to forgot about that nightmare."
Blue slowly nodded. He laid his head on Mr Egg, causing Mr Egg to get closer in return.
"It's going to be alright," Blue said, the softest he could.
"I hope so," Mr Egg said. "It's unbearable. I probably would have taken even longer, but TheGentleman helped me."
Blue noticeably tensed up for a second. "Mm-hmm... that's good."
"If I had so much as looked at TheGentleman the wrong way, Mr Cheese would have killed me," Mr Egg said, slightly awkwardly laughing. "And you know TheGentleman is positively obsessed with Mr Cheese."
Blue detected a sadness in the last part. "Yes, he is."
Mr Egg was used to Blue's obvious jealously. "I'm positively obsessed with you, you know."
"I'm just glad he helped with your tasks," Blue said. "That's all."
Mr Egg yawned. "I'm very tired."
Blue looked over to his book again. He wasn't tired at all, and was still excited.
"Go to bed, then," Blue said. "It's late."
Mr Egg yawned again. "Sure, alright."Player
Blue took his head of Mr Egg's shoulder and stretched, while Mr Egg kissed his head and went to sleep. Blue grabbed his book and sat on the other side of Mr Egg, again losing himself in his thoughts.

Veteran was also lost in his own world, his video games, as usual. He leaned forward and his lips were pursed in concentration.
He wasn't brought out of it by Captain knocking on the door, Player opening it.
"Hey, Captain," Player greeted him. "What do you need?"
Captain beamed as usual. "Just checking on everyone!"
"Everything here is going the same as usual," Player shrugged, slightly gesturing to Veteran to prove his point.
Captain laughed.  "Well of course.  But Player, I needed your help on a task."
"Shouldn't you be done with tasks?  And why do you need my help-"
"It's a task specifically for the captain, I just need some help."
"Alright..." Player nodded.  He knew why Captain asked him specifically, but it still made him surprisingly proud that Captain needed him.  He felt anxious all of a sudden, but he halfway liked the feeling.
Player got a coat on- it was hot out on Polus now, but night was coming soon, and the nights on Polus were unforgivably cold.  It was hard to tell how long Captain would need him.
When Player met Captain outside, the latter wasted no time.  "I need you to help me translate this message."
"From Mira," Player nodded, knowingly.  Sometimes, Mira would send messages in written impostor language to test the captains of the crew.
Captain's face seemed suddenly white.  "Not exactly."
Player frowned and tried to prob Captain for answers, but none were offered.
As they got closer, Captain looked at Player.   "It's a message from impostors."
