Dr. Reid leads you towards the elevator, keeping a safe distance between the two of you and keeping his head faced forward. Once we had arrived at the elevator, he pressed the button on the panel, still not saying a word since you guys had left your office.

"So, Dr. Reid, how long have you been working here at the BAU?"

He turned his head, making eye contact with you, flashing him a smile, but he turned his head facing the stainless steel doors. "I-uh" he cleared his throat, "I've been working here for nearly twelve years. And please, call me Spencer," he answered, before the doors opened. "After you."

You smiled lightly, entering the elevator with Spencer following behind you. Leaning against the railing with your purse and go bag in hand, you watched as Spencer pressed the button on the panel that led us back to the first floor. The doors closed a few seconds later, no one else had entered leaving the both of you alone again for the third time today.

Spencer stood on the other side of the elevator, his satchel over his shoulder and his hands at his sides. He tapped his fingers on the side of his leg, biting down on his bottom lip and again facing straight ahead. "Dr--" you paused, "Spencer?"

He hummed in response, but did not turn to look at you.

"Is the rest of the team already on the jet?"

The elevator started to slow down, coming to a complete stop seconds later. The doors opened, Spencer looked over his shoulder, "Yeah, they left in one of the SUV's. F-Follow me." You followed closely behind him, making your way through the slightly busy lobby, and out the door. "Does the team usually leave in separate SUV's?" you asked. Spencer slowed down, letting you catch up to him so you could walk beside him. "Most of the time, yes."

You nod to yourself, "Does it bother you that they left you behind with me today?"

He shook his head, subtly looking at you before looking straight ahead, "N-No, it does not bother me. Usually I'd take one of the SUV's with Derek, but riding with him is not that fun. He is a horrible driver." You let out a small laugh, "How is he a horrible driver?" Spencer sighed, "He uh-he drives way too fast, makes sharp turns. The list sort of goes on," he responded.

"Well, now I know not to get in a vehicle with Derek," you joked.

Spencer laughed beside you as he fished for the keys to the SUV in his pocket. Once he found them, he pressed the button unlocking one of them, "This is us," he said. You walked around to the passenger side, reaching to open the door, but Spencer got to it before you.

You smiled, "Thank you, Dr. Reid." His cheeks flushed a shade of red, "Y-You're welcome, Y/N." He allowed you to get in, shutting the door behind you and coming around to the driver's side. Spencer put the keys in the ignition, tossing his satchel in the back seat, then adjusted his seat and put on his seat belt. You followed suit, placing your purse and go bag on the floor by your feet.
