Book 1: The Adventures Of Amethyst Gold (Kanto)

Chapter 2: Meeting Blaze

Amethyst walked out onto the balcony of the room they were staying in on the ship. While Treecko and Brendan we're laying on the beds. Their room position provided a view of the beautiful afternoon sky over the crystal clear blue ocean water.

Amethyst enjoyed the feeling of the wind blowing through her hair. "This is beautiful," Treecko climbed onto the railing next to her. "I'm glad I decided to go on a journey to a different region as my first one. What do you think Basil?" She asked looking at Treecko.

"Tree," Treecko said looking at her confused.

"Basil it's a nickname if your okay with me calling you that," Amethyst explained. Treecko nodded his way of saying that was fine with him.

"I'm just glad you let me come with you," Brendan said walking over to Amethyst and Basil. Amethyst smiled as she messed with her little brother's hair.

The three of them stay in the room until the ship finally set sail. After hearing the Captain give a few words on their voyage. Amethyst felt ready to get up and do something. "Well, what should we do first? It is around lunchtime so we could get some food, or we could meet some new people on the ship. They might have some cool Pokemon to meet.

Al angry growl from Basil and Brendan's stomach voted for getting some lunch. Amethyst chuckled at both of their embarrassed faces. " Sounds like the decision is lunch. Come on let's go."

Roaming the lido deck, they simply headed down the hall that leads to the dining area. For a ship that wasn't that big. There were about a few hundred people at least on the ship. Most of them seem to be Pokemon trainers with all different kinds of experience, talking about all things pokemon related and showing off. Waiters bustled about serving food and drinks. A band was on stage giving a live performance.

"Awesome! There are so many Pokemon on the ship!" Brendan cheered.

"Treecko?" Basil asked looking at Amethyst his way of asking what we're doing for food.

"I'm sure on what we should get to eat. There are lots of options to choose from. The ticket wasn't cheap but wasn't that expensive. Yet it feels like we're on a boat to some fancy paradise."

"Well, I'm positive you didn't if you are aboard this ship," A voice said from behind Amethyst. She turned to see a boy around her age with red hair and black eyes. He had a Torchic sitting on his left shoulder. "You don't realize this ship going to Kanto."

"I know that," She said rolling her eyes. "Who are you anyway?"

"The name Blaze is," He replied.

Basil and Torchic jumped off both their trainer's shoulders to greet each other. Blaze brought his hands up behind the back of his hand. "I was just joking with you. You want to grab lunch together. If you haven't eaten yet."

"I was actually on my way to grab food with my little brother, but all the selection was making it hard to decide. Did you see anything good?"

"There's a sushi selection just past the buffet. The sushi looks pretty good."

"Lead the way. My brother loves sushi," Amethyst gestured for Blaze to walk ahead.

Amethyst got two sets of cucumber rolls one for herself and her brother. While Blaze got crab rolls for himself and finding themselves a table away from the commotion. Basil and Torchic we're enjoying the peace. Through Treecko wasn't enjoying the sharing their dinner a huge bowl of oran and Pecha berries.

Amethyst looked over at Basil who was pouting about having to share. She could tell that he must not be the sharing and social type. She then leaned over and rubbed his head. "It's okay buddy only sharing for today. When we get to Kanto, I'll buy supplies to make special grass-type food for you. Sound like a plan?" Basil nodded and went ahead and ate his meal with Torchic.

"Can I ask you something purple?" Blaze asked.

"My name is Amethyst, but yes you can ask me whatever it is that you want to ask," Amethyst said.

"Well, Amethyst what are you on a Pokemon journey for?"

"My big sister Ema going to be the world's greatest Champion!" Brendan cheered with a huge smile on his face.

"Well don't know if I would be the world's greatest," Amethyst started. "But I definitely want to become a great champion like Steven Stone one day." She finished with determination in her eyes.

"So then you will be entering the Kanto League?" Blaze asked.

"Of course if I wanted to become strong enough to become champion. The best way of doing that is traveling to different regions and earning all eight badges to enter the Pokemon leagues," Amethyst replied. "What about you Blaze?"

Balze stared at his food. "I haven't fully decided on that yet. I mainly just left on a journey to get away from my father he's a little insane."

"Well, I'm you find what you want to do on your journey. Though if you don't mind what do you mean by crazy father?"

"Yeah what does that mean?" Brendan asked with curious eyes.

"You understand what I mean if you ever get to meet him," Blaze said as he stood up after finishing his sushi."I see you around."

"Yeah see you around Blaze."

"Torchic let's go." With that Blaze and his Pokemon left and disappeared for the night.

"Aw! I wanted to play with Torchic," Brendan said.

"Oh don't worry we probably see him again at some point," Amethyst said. "Now come on got planning to do for this journey."

Basil and Brendan and followed Amethyst out of the dining area excited for the adventures awaiting them in Kanto.

The three retired to their room, discussing where to go in the morning. "Before anything, we have to see Professor Oak. Professor Birch said he should be able to update my pokedexes with information on Kanto Pokemon. Which is needed to help me understand and train the Pokemon I catch in Kanto," Amethyst said.

Basil nodded his head sitting near Brendan as he rubbed his head.

"After that, we start collecting Gym badges right away. We have a PokeNav installed with a map of Kanto. So don't need to actually map to help navigate the region and find the Pokemon gyms. Sound like a plan?" Basil nodded content with the plan.

"Ema, can I play with the Pokemon you catch in Kanto?"

"Of course Bren."

When it got dark outside. Amethyst closed the curtains, and she and Brendan changed into their pajamas. Amethyst and Basil climbed into bed together, and Brendan into the other bed by himself going to bed for the night.

I hope you enjoy this new Pokemon I decided to make along with my Trails of a Future Elite Four-Kanto. I was originally going to have them travel in Hoenn then possibly the other regions, but decided to go ahead to do Kanto and see where I go after there for this series.
