I opened my mouth to scream but Scott moved so fast that the next thing I knew his hand was clamped firmly down on my mouth, with his hand on my waist to keep me from moving. The same familiar flutter in my chest happened again and I stiffened.
He seemed to sense that I was uncomfortably so he gently removed his hand but kept the one on my mouth. My body slowly relaxed.
" I'll let you go." Scott whispered in my ear, his breath warm on my face," If you promise not to scream." I nodded my head and felt his hand go down. I squirmed away and took a couple of deep breaths as I was still in shock.
" Y-you're covered in b-blood." I manged to stutter. It was true too. It soaked into his chest and dripped down. His hair was ruffled and there was a long scratch down his forarm. " You should probably get claned up." I added.
He nodded. " Yeah, I should." Scott said with a smirk. WHAT WAS WITH ALL THE SMIRKS??\
" Um, the bathroom's that way." I muttered, pointing toward the still open door, while careful not to look at him. No need to make the situation more awkard then it already was.
" I can see that." He said, looking somewhat amused at me. Oh how I want to slap that playful grin right off his face. I knew he must've came for a reason so I said ;
" After you're done washing off, you can get the hell out of my house." The grin immediatly dissapeared. I smiled inwardly.
" Wait," Scott cried. " I just think that I should give you some sort of...explaination... of what happened."
" You mean when I thought that this innocent cute looking kittie turned into a hideous demon thing and then tried to kill me?" I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm. Scott looked a little stunned for a moment before snapping out of it.
" Yeah," He said a little dazed. " That's exactly what I mean."
" Well, ok!" I say in a fake, cheerful voice. " You can tell me all about after you're done freshening up." I motioned to the open door of the bathroom. " I'll just be downstairs getting a drink." He nodded and I went down to the kitchen for some water. I was just so exhausted but I was even more curious to know what was going on so I managed to keep myself awake till I heard Scott bounding down the stairs and crashing down on a chair beside me.
" So..." He said lazily, grabbing my water and taking a sip. God, the nerve of him. " I guess it's confession time for me." I nodded. " Where to begin?" He tapped thoughtfully on his chin. I sighed impatiently. " Well, I guess I should start from the very start..."
Scotts Story
This is going to sound really really cheesy and really really cliche, so much that it might even be painful but your world, our world, isn't what it seems. Like any book or movie, there are always two sides. Good and evil. Angels and demons. Heaven and Hell. But in our case we have 5 sides. And a very rare and exceptional 6th side, which we will go into further detail later on. The most powerful group of those 5 are called the Purifiers (pronounced pure-if-i-ers) They are the most important so they are 1st. The Purifiyers try to" purify" the world of anger, strife, selfishness,jealousy and all those feelings that make human nature do bad things. Of course there has to be a balance which means there does have to be some evil in the world. And we leave that job to the 5th group.The 5th isn't the least important but its the most evil. The Necromancers (pronounced neck-row-man-sers) feed off those emotions and release them back into the world. So you see there's a balance and its all nice and fair right? Not exactly. See, in the in the very begining there were 5 people. All of them started out as Purifiers. But one of them betrayed the others which meant his soul turned black he became a dark disfigured spirit which they now call the Necromancers. And the first Necromancer had offspring and so did the purifiers. So the Necromancers are basically fallen Purifiers. They're not at war or anything becuase they both try to balance out good and evil but occasionally a Necromancer will be more bitter then most and try to unsettle the balance.
